gomez12345
hey.. can somebody with the xp to do that, make an mod that makes the igni sign just original like in the pre patch 1.06 Version? or do you know someone, who can create a mod like that? so igni with the full burning time, with the original damage and so on. - the spell with all his old original effects, dmg, and durations. just unchanged igni spell, without the patch 1.07 changes/nerfs. so that we can Play 1.07 the witcher patch, without any changes on that spell and our build affected to it. is that possible? can someone do that? i wish to Play just my game without that nerf, i had a lot of fun with that. i don't want to backpatch to 1.06, cause my Safes are allrdy played with 1.07. and i like one or two changes from 1.07. just the igni nerf is something, that i don't want to have there. i want to have the old fun with that spell. can you do that guys? theoverchargedbyson
Pretty easy, really... How you can do this, in short, is by reinstalling your game, patching it to 1.06, and extracting the contents of the patch0.bundle. Keep the extracted files.Continue with the 1.07 patch and reimport the previously extracted files that modify the Igni sign (effects.xml and geralt_skills.xml would be the ones I check) using QuickBMS to your 1.07 patch0.bundle. gomez12345
ok. i did not understand it completely. i found the quickbms.exe - I get out, that i have to open the two igni files with that exe. but where are the two files for the igni sign? effects.xml and geralt_skills.xml - I don't find them. can i just see them if patch 1.06 is installed? I searched the two files in my witcher 3 Folder with Windows main file search. no hits/founds. are the two files somewhere hidden? i Need to extract them first? where i find them? which Folder should they be? how i extract files from the patch. bundle? how that file works? seems like I Need a modding tool to extract that bundle? i am not so sure what u mean with using quickbms to my 1.07 patch bundle, and how to use it. seems like i have to type some commands there... explain it for someone who has never modded. I am a bit confused. when it's so easy for you. can u just make a mod file like the others, where pple just Need to double click for Import and it works? I am a bit confused. Step-by-step guide on how to mod and use QuickBMS to extract and reimport files: http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/14/?You'll get all you need to know about the basics there.Just remember, modding with QuickBMS has its limitation: every file you edit has to have exactly the same size with the original for the reimport to work properly. And never forget to backup your original files! when it's so easy for you. can u just make a mod file like the others, where pple just Need to double click for Import and it works? What you're asking isn't really a mod. It's only a revert which some people may have different tastes of (the majority, I'm quite sure), too little to even be considered a mod (at least in my opinion), or otherwise find pointless.I just don't want to create something like that.Besides, what you're asking for is really simple you can do it yourself rather than wait for some bloke to do it for you. gomez12345
is someone here who can just create a simple .bat file with including the igni changes, like the other modders do? i dont wanna waste time and do 100 steps always, when i Need to resetup the game or something. a simply .bat file would do the work faster and easier. can someone do that? or just explain me fast and quick how that works? thx
theoverchargedbyson
Mate, a .bat file is basically just a reimporter for modified files. It's not the mod itself. What you need to know I have provided in the link above. You ask for someone to explain fast and quick, but there is just no such way when it comes to modding. You have to go through the process, though maybe 100 steps is exaggerating it a bit. gomez12345
i will do it. but for the future. how i get a bat file that does that work for me? because i Need to Reimport that again and again, after every patch?
theoverchargedbyson
The batch file is essentially the reimporter that comes with QuickBMS in the packed archive. It can be customised to automatically select the script to use, target file to reimport mod files to, and the folder where you put the mod files in.How? Just right click and choose edit. It'll open in notepad and then you just have to specify what you want.Example: quickbms -G -w -r witcher3.bms blob.bundle Geralt's_Trailer_Look/ That is one of my .bat files' parameters. witcher3.bms is the script, blob.bundle is the target file, and Geralt's_Trailer_Look is where I put my mod files. To achieve your goal, you don't have to reimport your mod files after every patch. Just reinstall the game, patch it to 1.06, extract the files you want to modify, make your modifications, patch to 1.07, and reimport your mod files. That's it!
