Substral Posted March 5, 2011 Share Posted March 5, 2011 (edited) So I installed some mods, but this doesn't involve them in too much detail. Instead, I ended up losing some images of the items.. Namely; hammer, wheat stone, abacos cleaner and such items have no picture in the inventory. Instead they have PipOS error 26 or so. Now my question is; where could I get those images back and where to install them? Simply installing the game again didn't do it (oddly). I downloaded the whole game again thru Steam and installed a small amount of mods, none of which touches the images (at least based on descriptions). Netwit2008 Posted March 6, 2011 Share Posted March 6, 2011 Hmmm...that only happened to me when I installed a couple of mods. The mods may not have had icons for the pipboy, so that error came up. Your issue sounds different though if it's happening with vanilla items. Sorry I can't be of more help. But I can say this, not having the icons or getting the error didn't interfere with the game or game play at all. I just didn't have any icons in the pipboy for those items. At least I don't get those red exlamation marks when textures or meshes are missing, that would be annoying! OK, some advance has happened.. I spent few hours looking up mod that would affect the vanilla items. Namely, I found this: http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34737 T3T_MiscItemIconsNV. It modifies a vast amount of items to have a unique images in pipboy. Now I do have most of the vanilla item pictures back, yet some are still missing.. I'm unsure which ones, but the PipOS Error 26 still remains in the load screens. Must look further in to the items and pick up every piece of junk I find to identify the missing pictures.. Then I guess I have to poke around in GECK to see if I could make a sort of mod that would re-apply the images to those items.. Urgh, doesn't sound too promising, knowing that I haven't touched GECK at all yet. If someone can think of a better solution, do tell!
