They all work fine with no problems at all, the only thing is that the gamehttp://cdncache-a.akamaihd.net/items/it/img/arrow-10x10.png crashes occasionally.
Okay so I'm doing the quest "The waters of life" and I'm at the objective that says to clear out all the mutants out of project purity. I've killed all the mutants, but the game doesn't recognize it. Now before you say "Are you sure you got all the mutants?" I would like to say I am POSITIVE I got all of them. I set my perception to 10 and looked, checkedhttp://cdncache-a.akamaihd.net/items/it/img/arrow-10x10.png every room, typed kill all in console, and I've played this game quite a lot and know where to check, what to do, etc.
That person in that thread has a very similar issue to me, and on of the comments suggested typing "player.setstage MQ05 26" into the console, now I did that. The thing is though, it says the objective is completed but when I talk to dad to continuehttp://cdncache-a.akamaihd.net/items/it/img/arrow-10x10.png the quest, it doesn't give me the dialogue option to continue the quest. It's as if I still need to complete the objective. A person in that thread also had that exact same problem but he wasn't very clear with his solution. I've also tried a variety of solutions.
  • ​I tried spawning some extra super mutants before completing the objective(with the console command) and killing them, seeing if that would trigger the objective to be completed the "right" way.
  • I tried completing the objective with the console command and then spawning some super mutants and killing them.
  • I tried waiting in game a week for the super mutants to spawn, before and after completing the objective(again using console commands.)
  • I also tried a variety of stupid attempts to get it fixed, such as knocking out dad and dragging him around to see if that would trigger anything. Again before and after completing the objective.
I would really hope that I would not have to start a new game cause I have done quite a few things in the game, and I would like for all of that progress not to be gone.
Any ideas or suggestions that could help? Willing to try out anything.

The following console command will set the variable that counts mutant deaths:


set mq03.bodyCount to 14


Exit console and wait a few seconds for game to update.


In my case Marts Mutant Mod had actually removed one of the scripted mutants and regular setstage commands would glitch the quest even further!


Additionally I had exited to the wasteland, saved then removed the mod and re-entered the building and behold: the missing mutant appeared. Then I completed that quest, saved and exited and activated the mods again.
