okstop
Already searched, but couldn't find a mod that does this. I hate how the Oghma Infinium forces you to choose a set of skills, rather than individual skills, to level up. This design option assumes a player is strictly a mage, warrior or thief, but we all know that people play different builds. So, if you're a bow wielding, poison using, sneaky sniper, with a melee choice of dagger dagger, then choosing any single path results in wasted skills. I propose for a mod that changes the Oghma Infinium so that you can choose any 6 skills to level up. In the end, you still get 6 skills to level up 5x, but to your choosing rather than being restricted to a path of skills. I also think the mod should come with two options. The first option is that you choose 6 skills, period, and they each get 5 level ups. The second option for the mod allows you to break up all 30 level ups, in total, and spread them across different skills. So, if you wanted to level up two handed by two levels, then spend 3 level ups on one handed, and distribute the remaining 25 level ups however you want, you can. The difference in options are to give people a choice depending on what they feel is 'balanced' and not cheaty. Bottom line though is that the Oghma Infinium is still a one time use item that offers you a maximum of 30 skill level ups. no matter how you choose to distribute them. BigBizkit
Possible albeit it involves quite some tedious scripting with convoluted/nested menus. I am going to play devil's advocate and argue that the Ogmah Infinium is supposed to raise only the "pathed" skills for lore reasons. So, your idea might be lore breaking (?). Secondly, because it does not raise all your desired skills but at best a bunch of them + a few useless ones it is balanced, whereas if you can choose the perfect skills it would become much stronger. And, in comparison to some other useless daedric rewards, it is already pretty useful imo. I'd also restrict it to your first option (choose 6 for 5 skillups) rather than 30 individual picks. That would not only be insanely tedious to script, but also pretty tedious to use ingame.
