Mod load order and compatability

Hi All,

Ive been modding for around 7 years on and off and over the last couple of years i have been trying to create the ultimate Skyrim game using all manner of mods.

As a result of this challenge i have now accumulated almost 200 mods and as you can imagine things can get a little confusing in regards to mod load orders and compatabilities.

Here comes my question. Attached are my installed mods and mod load order, can someone of more experience than me please run through the mods and the order that they are in and let me know if 1, they are compatible. 2, they are in the correct order. 3, if i need them all due to some mods that are installed already covering the same things.

I use Loot to order the mods and i have cleaned everything with TESEdit. All mods are downloaded from the Nexus website and are upto date.

I understand this is a large task for an experienced modder to take on but it would be greatly predicated if some one would take a look as i want to start yet another new game in pursuit of the perfect Skyrim experience.

Thank you to all of the modders that have created these mods, without you our Skyrim lives would be very dull, thank you all in advance if you take a look and happy gaming to all.

Calv

Part of the problem might be that your modlists come up as a wall of text, making it hard to really look through the mods for incompatibilities. But even then, hardly anyone would be able to get 200 mods working without problems. It'd also help to know a little more about what you've done. Are you currently having bugs/crashes running all these mods? Knowing what problems you're having could help identify the problem. If you added a lot of these all at once without playing in between, you should do that. It's best to add mods in small increments, play a bit, watch for CTDs and bugs, then add more. It makes it much easier to troubleshoot.

You make several fair points. Thanks for coming back to me.

Everything seems to be working ok apart from a few CTD at completely random places so it was really more of a question where i would like someone to take a final look over everything just so i can see if there are any glaringly obvious incompatibilities i hadnt seen myself before.

This MOD load has been something that has been constantly evolving over a few years so each one has been added over time with plenty of play time inbetween.

How else would you suggest i present the load order?

There is a really good article found at the Expanded Towns and Cities mod page that talks about how mods should be organized and the loading order that works well for a lot of people. Also, if you use Tes Edit than you ought to look into Wyre Bash, because apparently it's great for problems and issues with mods that conflict and rooting them out. Also, I'd begin with the basics and try to get rid of the things you really don't need or merge ESPS. 200 mods is quite a bit, and I'll bet you could achieve a more stable game by getting rid of many of those. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply Princess. Thats just the problem, im asking about which ones i dont really need :).

I will look in Wyre Bash and see what i can do. It should be pretty straight forward as i used it for creating Oblivion patches many moons ago.

The ones you don't really need- that's a personal preference though, wouldn't you say?

I tried looking at your mods but because it's a text document, it's a mess! Very difficult to read which would explain your lack of responses. All of the text is smooshed together and furthermore, the mods I don't know about I cannot link to. But here's some really simple, easy advice that I have followed: I ditched all my previous water and weather mods and got a mod called Purity. Why? Because the less esps I have the better, and Purity has almost everything I want/need rolled into one. It's simple, it's easy, and it's beautiful. I highly recommend it.

Try linking your mods that you are unsure about into this thread and I will take a look at them, but I have to say- you are the best judge of that. I personally think Realistic Needs and Diseases is too complicated, so I use Ineed instead- but that's a matter of personal preference. Only you know what you can and cannot live without.
