McMaverickz
Dear Mister or Misses Person(s) Reading This, I have been finishing my first "real" mod (the first mod that I plan on releasing), but I have one final problem I must solve. My mod contains one npc who has a whole one line of dialogue... I would like this one line of dialogue to have sound to go with it, but the geck does not seem to like my WAV files. So heres the story... I created the sound reference file in the geck and attached it to my npc's dialogue topic info, but when I tried adding my WAV file to the reference file it would not play (or just didn't make any sound). My WAV file was an MP3 which I trimmed and converted to WAV in audacity. When I play it through audacity or windows media player it sounds fine. If you need more information just ask me. Uh... I also do not know how to lip sync... YOUR MISSION: Explain to me what I did wrong or what else I must do to make it work. Try to explain it to me as if I was mentally disabled. Optional: Tell me how to lip sync... REWARD: My love and affection.
MadNuttah
Hello, here's a tutorial for lip-sync http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11802. The process is hilarious, you need to use the stoneage TES editor. :) I use audacity as well to create wav files, 16bit should be fine. You have to set the path to your wav files as geck expects them, i.e.: ...\youfalloutnvdir\voices\yourmod.esp\maleadultxyz\formid.wav. Btw, you can use ogg files to save space. Hope this helps.
