Khornate Chainaxe

*It is essentially an axe with sawblades that is held and swung with one hand.

Let me tell you more about this request of mine,

I have always been more of a traditional hack and slash kind of player, it goes way back to when I first began playing videogames, stomping, hacking, whacking, punching, kicking and whatever form of close quarter brutal violence always seemed like more fun to me, magic and guns is good too but the sensation of sprinting up to some poor victim and lobbing his head off with a hammer is just great.

I've used all sorts of melee weapons and mods in New Vegas ranging from medieval swords to that dull thermic spear thing and I never liked any of them (not that the mods I tried were bad or anything but they all feel so generic), the chainsaw and super sledges kinda get old after the first few playthroughs, I just want a decent one handed unusual swinging weapon for many hours of fun in the wastes.

Yeah, thats pretty much it.

It wouldn't necessarily have to be the most advanced weapon with movable parts either, just some sort of weapon that can be repaired melee weapons of its level, stand its own against a chainsaw/super sledge and that resembles the one in the picture provided would be great.

I'd be happy if some kind soul could make me this weapon for me, and, melee users over.

I'd attempt and do this myself but I am a complete noob at F:NV modding and got full up with school and all.

Again, if its doable and if someone would like to give this a try it'd be much appreciated.

Hmm, well, it's hard to believe that none of the probably hundreds of melee weapons on the Nexus were decent enough. There's stuff going all the way to Buster Sword proportions and in the SF department even more than one kind of lightsaber :P And I'm sure some of them can more than stand up to a super-sledge or legate's sword or really anything in the game.

That said, hmm, a chain axe does have a certain charm... Not entirely sure if my skills are up to the task, but it does have a certain charm...

EDIT: Hmm... Looks like I could probably keep the Ripper's animated teeth as they are, and fit an "axe" whose "edge" follows the same curve. But, be warned, I won't be able to animate those along a different curve, so the edge WILL follow the same curve as the Ripper's blade. Don't come later with complaints that it's not exactly like in some WH40K manual or the teeth don't go in the right direction or whatnot. Well, that and it'll take some time anyway.

No problem, as long as it is still axe shaped and swingable it should be alright.

If you want to give it a try then go for it, take your time, i'll will be waiting with much anticipation. ;D

Like I said, its not that the mods are bad or anything, I just never really found "that one weapon", either its just me being all picky about it or I am blindsided and have been looking in the wrong direction.

Hmm, well, if you just want a big mean weapon in the meantime, have you considered just setting the Epix Axe to one-handed in the GECK? Anything hit by that will feel it, and it'll look like it hurts. I mean it's about as big an axe-head as a sharpened manhole cover :P

And you don't even have to do more than set it to one-handed. The grip will go correctly more towards the pommel by itself when it's onehanded.
