Found some sites for sound clips!

Western sound bible this site itself Sound bible might be worth looking through for stuff for any mod...they list which are public domain and which personal use only.

A good site to find sites for downloading free sounds

And as for the question of who will write dialog I'm definitely willing to help there.

Nice, looking forward to checking them out

Good deal. I put out a small beta mod and will probably finish it up Sat, so I hope to start work again on part 1 Sat or Sun. I'll put up a plotline, general dialog outlines etc for part 1 then. Feel free to modify the dialog or plotline, it's not set in stone. And really, even though I want it to be an adventure in itself, it's essential purpose is to deliver the player to the park proper (which will start in part 2).

I think I may also work on it in parallel with a sunset showcase mod. It's tough sitting on these assets until everything is completed. This way I can get out a half dozen encounters/locals to at least give players a example of what they will face in the park.

just a general head's up (no pun intended)....been working on an Android Head mesh (with exposed components behind the face) in the style of westworld.

happy to donate it to this project :)

Sounds cool, any pics? I did some re-textures a while back, using non surface mount components (transistors, diodes etc) on circuit boards, I thought it probably fitted fallouts retro look best. I'm curious to see your artistic vision.

Also figured out how to completely eliminate all blood gibs/meatcaps for the androids. It's kind of a hassle space wise, because it involves copying over hte whole directory. It's about 100mb of animations, that have to be loaded into the mod

But since I'm already using it for the protectron 2's, it's not a big deal.

On the plus side it works great. No blood, robot parts when you blow off limbs etc. Just need to do new textures, custom race and they are good to go, so some new android noggins would be greatly appreciated.

On a related matter, have you run across any good fallout character animation tutorials. I feel like if I can just change a few of the protectron 2 animations (running, idle, handfull of others) I'll finally have exactly what I want. The same animations are for the androids as well, as the protectron 2's use a modified human skeleton (great for the lever action rifles).

EDIT: Vacuum tubes would look cool as part of exposed electronics.

hehe, modified skeleton? seriously? I didn't know you could even do that....

as far as the android head is going...I've got a mesh together, but the settings in nifskope are giving me trouble. I'm trying to make the skin parts compatible with the alterable skin-tones in the normal ones, as well as keeping the materials of the facial parts.

I'm using a protectron pod without the door or any of its visual effects (or animation hooks or collision blocks or suchlike) as a face-backing piece. fills in all the gaps and blends with the flesh. then I'd fill it with smaller components.

its been made a lot shallower, gives the impression that behind it is a computer core or somesuch and that we're just looking at the part that protects the android from the elements...

I'll go grab a pic if I can and show it off a bit :)
