ZZZ02
I always found it weird how you start out with perfect knowledge of all crafting recipes for iron and hide at the beginning of the game then magically learn about how to work with a completely new material just by working with your old ones. This is wrong in many ways, how do you learn these starter recipes and how can working with one material over and over again suddenly give you mastery of another 100% different material, Iron and steel I can probably accept but the rest, bull. Based on the game Rune Factory 2 the plan of this mod is to lock ALL recipes for blacksmithing and improvements and you can only unlock them by taking a designated class at a temple. Classes can only be taken at specific times of the day, first you ask to take a specific lesson then you hear a description about how to craft an item then you must repeat the materials needed to the teacher, if you succeed you go to the next item in the lesson until all the items are complete if you fail you will hear the description again. after completing the class you will be able to craft all the items covered in the lesson example:[essential basics] covers the hide armor set and the iron dagger also you can only take classes of materials that you would be able to work with. you could possibly have other blacksmiths take classes on occasion (even professionals take classes) This mod will obviously require a lot of work and will be a pain to make but I feel it can definitely improve immersion by requiring you to actually LEARN how to craft your stuff as opposed to what is already in Skyrim. unfortunately, I know almost nothing about the CK so I will not be able to make it, also I don't have a good voice or a good mic (or recording knowledge for the matter) but I could try to learn about voice acting if it is needed. Iccotak
Couldn't agree more, I actually had a similar idea since I was also bothered by how you could smith 1000 daggers and suddenly be able to craft dragon gear. Rather than classes I had quests like how you had quests to learn master level spells for the college. I'd like to help, if you want I can send you what have and maybe we can collaborate.contact me at: [email protected] Edited August 4, 2015 by Iccotak
