nisen
heard it a lot but never been too worried since i usually take days to decide, but ironcally its when a mods just awsome and you spend 30-60 minutes with it and wanto come straight back to endorse it that your blocked out. (edit) funny come to think of it ive no idea how the 15 minute rule works if someone could explain: What happens after your locked out? How much longer after that 15 minutes ended that it is you need to wait? Edited March 8, 2011 by nisen
jhardingame
Actually, it's 3 hours now. I tried to go back to endorse after playing with a new file in game, and got a 'You have to wait 3 hours before your allowed to endorse' message. 15 minutes was fairly reasonable, but 3 hours is just....overkill. a lot of times, I'm already doing something else within 3 hours, and can forget to go back to endorse. I wonder how many files have probably lost endorsements because people forget to go back. 3 hours is a lot of time to forget.
Eiries
I just tend to come back the next day, unless I have nothing better to do over the course of the day. If you're afraid of forgetting, utilize the download reminder function towards the bottom of your Preferences. Or just click on your history yourself. If you're getting "blocked out," it's because it's a 3 hour wait, not fifteen minutes. If you're still blocked out a while after those three hours, you may need to contact an admin about it. You should never be blocked after the initial three hours.
bben46
If you are endorsing in less than 3 hours then you really haven't tried the mod very thoroughly. Even a simple weapon mod takes over an hour to evaluate - download, extract, install, start game play for a while to check it out. Most people play for at least an hour before quitting - they don't quit just to rate a simple mod. Then exit the game open the site find the mod, rate. Minimum time - 1.5 hours. Then, if there is any kind of quest or having to search for the object much more. and if any load order adjustment is needed more time - so 3 hours was selected. Before we had the delay, many were endorsing the pretty pictures that were posted on the mod page, or the idea of the mod and not actually playing it first. I actually read comments saying they didn't have the game, but were endorsing the mod because they liked it. Or they didn't have time to play it yet, and would download it later, but were endorsing it. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f351/charonn0/ohgeez-1.gif

I actually did the opposite the other day, wanted to compliment a tiny thing in a mod ive had months now, but cant find all the content without following exact instuctions which I keep putting off, so posted 'hey ive not endorsed this yet, havent confirmed much of the content but really like this one thing... and damn it felt bad saying that ok so 3 hours huh, can remember that, and checking the histroy page is sure to be something useful on premium. thanks for the help, cheers Edited March 8, 2011 by nisen
