TheSwedishPancake Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 This poem is dedicated to my dearest friend. He has, time and time again, proved himself to be the sun of my life. Ice I conquer lonely waters, freeze them stillBut only when the sun is kind to meSea of malice, sea of evil willYou exist to hinder what could be The blackest sailor is your friendYou hold his ship above your wavesRipples dark until the icy endWhen the sun the path to freedom paves The winter is the seaman's greatest foeAs coldest winds his hollow bones do pierceSunlight turns its gaze to all belowGuiding me with inspiration fierce Above the blackened sea I make my standDisheartened sailors turn their ships awaySunlight lends to me its helping handTruest friend, my soul at rest to layMay your kind and gentle touch and your lovely breeze continue to turn away evil ships from me and my troubles.
Keanumoreira Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Very beautyful Swedish. Whoever this guy is, he must be more than lucky to have you as a friend.
TheSwedishPancake Posted March 10, 2011 Author Posted March 10, 2011 Maybe, but I'm more inclined to believe that I am the lucky one.
