Purr4me
what you do is download fomm 3.21, extract it / install it, then open it's directory and copy the highlighted items in this shot to the games root directory, all 3 files.these are xna files and should allow the game to run.http://s26.postimg.org/chdp6mow9/xlive_controls_old_game.jpg
oncewas
Okay so I'm currently using FOMM ver. 0.14.11.12. So I should go ahead and remove it and load Ver. 0.13.21? I have ver. 0.14.11.12 to use with FNV can I retain it or should it be best to delete it? At present I have FOMM loaded in the D:\Steam\Steamapps\common\FOMM should I load ver. 0.13.21 in a more common area like the root of D:?
Purr4me
\FOMM should I load ver. 0.13.21 in a more common area like the root of D:?correct don't use 12, there's a bug in it. unless your running 64bit?the game is 32bit. you need software meant for it for it to run. oncewas
Okay. But my Win10 is 64bit. I installed ver. 13.21 but all I see is a xlive.dll in the data folder while I see a xlive.exp and a xlive.lib file in my 14.11 data folder but no xlive.dll. Should I copy all three file from the two different ver. and place them in both the data folder of ver. 13.21 and the game root?
Purr4me
all 3 files are / should be there in all the versions thus made to date, if for any reason any file is not visible, either the system is set to hide the files extensions or the system is deleting them. 21. has all 3 files in it, i have every version ever made installed, every version has these files...the file sizes are different in each.cross pollinating is not advised. what we are doing here is fighting the Devil, you do want to win right? Purr4me
shot 1http://s26.postimg.org/mfynt3ybt/xlive_19.jpgshot 2http://s26.postimg.org/chdp6mow9/xlive_controls_old_game.jpg these shot clearly the date changes meaning the files are not the same, you can't mix and match DRM controls. oncewas
Oh yeah I want to win. I tried to shut all my bitdefender off and re-install 13.21 but I'm getting the same thing just showing the xlive.dll and not the other two. but they are visible in my Steam folders. Purr4me
what's going on ..and you must be careful here is the system is assigning permissions to your files, it's watching and tagging every file you touch.so if steam has all 3 files? copy those into the games main root folder...ext to the executable.Steam is network controled, there are things going on here in 10 we yet need to discover. we are "discovering here right now by conversing. This game is old, regardless of steams versions it must have xlive in it because that code is internally Embedded into the Engine. "achievements"...any one?well, windows 10 seems to be adding things and taking things apart with out us doing a thing here. copy those files and test...advise me what takes place next. oncewas
I need to clarify the ver. in Steam is 0.14.11.12 and it has two of the three files, xlive.exp and xlive.lib while ver. .0.13.21 has just the xlive.dll file. But I thought you recommended not using ver. 0.14.11.12. Maybe I should delete all of FOMM and try a new download and install using ver 13.21? I don't understand why wait .....ver. 14.11.12 in Steam was already on my PC before upgrading to Win 10. I'll try downloading a new 14.11.12 and see what it loads.
