you can add fomm I believe thru steam as a non steam game if you want to use it's overlays and support, current plans are slated for this advent with win 10.

Though some things about the upcoming games are not popular here, have been known to cause misunderstandings about the software used.

That downloaded OS "steam" that controls all the inter-phasing between PC and networks has all of this data In it. Except these 3 files.

 

Now ,the "DNA" of the game world has changed in this respect, Now XNA is the new kid on the block...this is going to source a change.

Just when things were going so good. I had another crash with the same code 0xc0000005. It took a lot longer to crash but crash it did. I've got it running in XP sp2 mode by running the compatibility troubleshooter. Should I switch to manually setting it? Is there anything else I should do? uninstall and re-install? try not installing the DLC? Run as Admin?

create a folder on the desktop, there, windows will protect what ever you put into it ,do as the devil wishes, so we use Him to keep our stuff safe.

IE used to be that desktop's domain, now they changed the code a bit, still does what's it's designed to do ,right protect stuff.

 

the folder name would be DLC Content...in here you copy all of your masters DLC only in to it, and copy the bsa's too.

IF the executable is 1.7 patched? verify that too, and then copy it as well.

once copied...you have a choice of poison to use...7z archive, version of choice 32bit or 64 bit.

 

Or use built in zip of windows...not (recommended). IF there is an AI of any kind, it's going to take a lot to crack the code we build.

that new zipped up product is now your DLC packages, no longer needed to download any more as long as they are "Virgin"....not edited.

 

Fomm will install up too 5 gig files sizes if done correctly and have no scripts involved.

 

you use Fomm....so it is not installed...I HOPE in the games directory, Fomm has a bad habit too, it backs up data for reinstall, and should you delete things, it can reinstall data for you. you can also make / create a Fo3 backup zip too. but that can't be used in fomm because it would place the wrong data into a data folder. But the data folder can be backed up and used....Once it is, you can delete all data in that data folder...Back out to the root, and zip up the games main folder.... once zipped up move all zips to a safe place, use the system installer ,not the games installer, but windows installer to uninstall all game data. 10....64...no new tools yet available that will pass the guards at the door, so there is no cleaner Valid enough to trust...yet or that I am aware of.

 

uninstall the game.

reinstall only fallout 3...if possible. test only fallout 3 with a known good saved game. there should be one some where Or I'll make one for you.

 

you need a valid default saved game. not 1.7 but raw. stops just after leaving the vault 101 exit .this finishes those scripts and dumps the old world spaces in favor for the newer ones designed to clamp down when you return.

 

when you do all of this, there should be no need to run as admin at all...if you do this right that is?

 

Remember what was once in that games data base, I told you you could not remove all of the bad data. and you would be lucky to continue very far.

 

Too many variables are stored in it, left over orphaned data..LOL, it's no different that your systems registry file so consider this game an OS...if you understand things this way. the saved game is the most important thing there.

I might save you a lot of time and headaches here ,If your abnormally active gamer, you need some heads up.

windows 10 is new ground. There are some things i do that may help you do things a bit faster ,better, stronger.

not sure if you want to do all of this but it can't hurt.

Ok, well bellow I have posted a set up I use currently.

This software is all 32bit so it may not be feasible for you. It depends on what's available.

I have a large pocketbook so all of this is nothing to me. Tools for the right Job as they say.

Iso magic for one is thew base code for the DVD Rights..Not (writes) and yes, windows does indeed try to stop this software from installing, it's hardware emulation drivers for Old Dos access in windows UI...soemthing they want to get rid of.

well, you do get the OS free, so i guess there's a lot of give and take here... VLC LAN anyone? LOL.

No worries, it's all legit and very safe.

 

ISO Disc is on the same server but is hard to get, leave the descriptors alone, do not install that app, bad things happen.

in the corner, you will see a disc and a hand, this was Originally made for windows XP. and it rocks.

I can use this app to load all of any amount of DVD's ISO images I make stored on any hard drive.

it does only software, it won't do video, you need decoders for that, but back ups are great.

in 4 years I had one fail, something tried to write to it. maybe it was me. donno.

Hot game, that is a culmination of 2 years work, it is fast ! clean ,zero faults ,perfect textures and mesh files, perfect plugins and it's all compressed except the textures.

How I use this data when i want it is to simply copy it to a folder on the Work drive...here, It shows (G).

 

The job....For me , i see a report, a post here or some where out here and decide on what I might do.

IF the post is important enough, it might be valid for me to create the whole game on that one individual..so, I ask for a saved game file.

 

If I receive one ? I build the game based on it's contents. But if the contents appear abnormal? Illegal. I pass. but if I can't be sure, I use a default Profile already built in another users data base sitting on that work drive. All you see here so far are roots.

 

Profiles...there's a word to keep in mind. Windows profiles ,game profiles, system profiles .

all each has a purpose...but if you have the time and learn this, it is very very fast.

 

Win 8, 8.1 and now 10 will not allow Multi booting. Windows 7 does. 64 bit will cramp your style due to drivers needed for all older games and CD's used. software's outdated, Obsolete and currently being NOT allowed to be installed.

So ,a trip to the store for more, I have a ton of hard drives all clearly marked and in a container on a book shelf.

These are all smaller than a pack of cigarettes...WD pass port drives ,super fast, no heat, quiet.

I need XP. got that, i need vista, Go that...blow off the dust though as I haven't touched them in a long time.

 

7, Profiles, in the control panel, users ,you create new profiles. Each will need access to the virtual networks ,ah here is the key and why I choose this specific software ,because it only requires one installation on the main, it is accessible from any profile. but the profiles won't have these programs installed and if you look in another profile in the registry, it's hidden.

the link's you make work and load the needed CD's on demand. Each profile saves days of work ,saves hours of stumped thoughts. you leave the admin profile completely alone and never install games on it. That's default...keep it clean just like that cd is.

 

The full drive there is all 7z files, compressed game data for all games. and it's only one drive, a small drive at that.

 

all this text gets a message across that you do need to be prepared if your going to mod games. this is a very small setup.

this is what you need. you don't delete data that's good when you download it because it may never be there again. if it's bad ,delete it.

That work drive contains many games, users files. massive installs but it's all on one drive.

 

what made all this possible is Mod organizer ,Fomm and the authors that made these programs.

you and I are sharing this world and the operating systems too .so, we need to beat the devil into game submission to prevail new-worlds to make.

When 32bit goes Obsolete, hard wares today will be worth a lot of greedy green stuff, silver ,and gold.

I own two games that are all 64bit.

Fo4 is one of them. can't install it on this system, but this is only one small drive too.
