If you dont ge t any results here, u may want to post in the tech support forum here about issues, the folks are terrific. I do know they will want to know about any mods you have installed, I had the same issue onc e with Alistiar and it was related to a dialog mod, somehow bypassing the gender check, It has since been fixed.[ mien w as an early version install] I have noticed that whenever i think someone looks cool in the character creation and i think I cna live with that , they appear different in game! Skin color etc way differnt than i picked in CC. I often delete them and try again. The really neat Mp files on nexuz here has helped me considerably with that. GL mate

Heyas Enials, welcome to the dragon age nexus forums! :)

for the thing about your character- NewbyPower's face replacer- http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=428

Lets you pull a face morph from a savegame file to change it to another savegame file, or to use for an NPC face.

Also lets you use a pre-made .mor file (such as you can download in the mods section of the site) and use it as the face for your PC. Pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it.

Alistair. Yeah. Vanilla version he's not supposed to harass guys about relationships. has to be a mod that's causing it.

what does means vanilla version ?

i will figure it out with the Face replacer thx for the link :)

my problem is that i want the partie bonis and so i make the DLC Puppet item for alistair as gift to raise up 50 points.. normaly also on morrigans status if i dont do anything its just on +50 (friend)

but alistair is now on +50 (interested)

so... thats really... hmhm... u know what i mean...

its strange to start as Legolas & Gimmli and now he wants to be with me like siegfrid and roy.. it kills a lil bit the game atmosphere..

a. "Vanilla" means "The way it is in the game if your don't customize it at all."

b. Different NPCs have different amounts of "Approval" needed before they will have a change in the "Relationship Status"

c. Zevran is quite willing to become... intimate with your Warden, or not, as you choose. Just tell him how you'd prefer things, and he'll respect that.

enials :)

Sorry for the confusion about the terminology. :(

I'll expand on what Thandal said, by saying that Vanilla means "Plain. Ordinary." Or in game terms, "unmodified." I hope that helps clear it up. Again, sorry about that.

You're very welcome for the link. The face replacer is fairly easy to use. However, if you have problems with the English language, it may prove to be a bit difficult with translation :(

There is also a basics tutorial for it's use located here. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2063 That may help you out some as well ;)

Morrigan, Leliana and to some degree Alistair, all require a certain action to be taken, before they move into the area of ummmmm..... "romantic interest".

With Leliana there's a flower that you have to give her. With Morrigan, it's a book. With Al, it's his mother's locket.

If you cant track it down to a mod that's being used, I'd recommend using this mod.... meta game items. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13

it includes an item that you can give to the NPC's as a gift. Called Love Potion #9. Give it to him once. That will make him fall in love with the character IF that is an option for him. Then give it to him AGAIN, and it will TURN OFF the romance option on him for that character.

Other than that, the only other thing that I can recommend is that any time a dialog option appears that refers to "Friends" use it. And don't use dialogs that would encourage him.

I know tho... Al bugs me too. I dont like him chasing after my characters either. :pinch:

with files that are in .mor format (which is the format that is used by existing characters) I'm afraid that there isn't. Because .mor files don't contain enough information about the morph to generate a graphical image of the file's contents.

If the file was a .mrh file, it could be opened and then edited in the toolset, with a graphical representation available there in the toolset.

Or if it was a .mop which is a character preset file, the character's face could be edited in the character creator, then used to make a new character and the .mor file could then be extracted from the character's savegame file with the face replacer.

Unfortunately the only way to create a .mrh file tho, is to create the morph in the toolset. You can't reverse engineer one from a .mor or .mop file. :(

You can open a .mor file in the toolset (TS) and find what body parts are used in it for reference in creating a new morph, but thats about it.

And the TS doesnt show any kind of face/head movement for the expressions.

Short answer- the character creator (CC) is the only program that allows you to see what the character is going to look like with movements.

Sorry for the bad news :(

GOT IT !!

Change your Face in 9 Step!

how to:

requies: DragonAgeTools / English Basics / Coffee & Creativity

i used Game : Dragon Age Ultimate Editon

Dragon Age Tools Editor Version : v1.0.1008.0

--------------

step1.

make a backup of your savegame folders, files are located on "MyDocuments/BioWare/Dragon Age/Characters/YourCharName"

step2.

Start DragonAgeTool - on DragonAgeTool follow this steps :

Left up side --> File --> Manage Module --> Choose here "Single Player"

step3.

File --> New --> Morph

step4.

check the "choose base" bar and choose one of the following parts for your face

"HM_UHM_BASa_0 = Human Male Basic Face" HF_... = Human Female DF_... = Dwarf Female etc... i guess u can combined what looks for.. the last part is KN_UHM_BASa_0 this face part is useless for us cause its the Basicfacemodel for Kids in Dragon Age...

( to rotate and zoom the face use "middle mouse button and wheel")

step5.

u got next to the face on right sidebar "01.Material" "02. Part Selection" // mouth, eyes, jaw, etc.. u guess u know for what it is,

at first before u start to try what u can do i decide for you to save your model as first and of course... "SAVE EVERY STEP! IT CAN INSTANT CRASH!"

Tooltip: here is a movie for some help for the graphical tyrants on you to help better understanding ;)

step6.

file --> save as --> the usually way would be to save on Desktop, IMPORTANT! the name of your savefile is important to know! so dont call it asdgfhgj.mrh or something like that u will need the name later for char face changing.

so know u saved it as *.mrh file this is a editor file and can everytime open to change again some differents to the face.

(i saved my face now as explain.mrh)

step7.

if u think ure finished with the face and wanna try it out u have to follow this step: choose the tab "Edit" then click on "Post to Local" now u must some relevant informations on Log Window like this :

S: 11:16:53 - Export Summary, 1 Requested, 1 Success, 0 Skipped, 0 Failed. Please see below for more details.
I: 11:16:53 - No modules to process. No XML files generated.
I: 11:16:51 - PostProcessing
I: 11:16:51 - Exporter completed successfully for resource: explain.mrh
I: 11:16:51 - Successfully exported C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override\toolsetexport\kn_explain.mor.
I: 11:16:50 - Campaign resources will be exported to "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\modules\Single Player\override\toolsetexport\".
I: 11:16:50 - Shared resources will be exported to "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override\toolsetexport\".
S: 11:16:50 - Starting export: "Post to Local"

step8. now check on tab "File" --> Open Files --> My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Characters\YourCharName\SomeOfYourSlots (maybe the latest  ) and then the file wich end with *.das

now it takes some seconds if we see the file inside DragonAgeTools Editor

step.9 now u see the "Top Level Struct" with different sticks

go to : Top Level Struct --> SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR --> SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR_CHAR --> SAVEGAME_APPEARANCE --> SAVEGAME_APPEARANCE_MORPH_NAME

here you click on the tab Value (normaly it must be blanc if u not edit before) and now write in hm_YourFaceSaveName

now click onabove on the Disk to save the entry...

FINISH ! start game and have fun with your new face :)

i hope i could help a lot ppls with this tutorial. and also u can change every NPC or Companion or Creature like this with a lil bit more experience. but use at your own risk please ! make always backups ;)

greetings

sIN.sL@iNe-

*edit*

Damn... it works great but now i got Graphic Issues on the Dreamsequenzes when i transform to Golem or Ghost... someone got an idea how to fix this problem ?

are they maybe a way to change the edited morph and get a relevant binary code for the savegame ?

Thanks for steps enial.

Ah, Darkwolf that was what I use if necessary-festival gifts. If you can download the festival gifts and tricks-just give Alistair something you just know he won't appreciate, like that voodoo doll. You can buy them for free from the rest camp vendor. He will instantly not like you as much. Though if you are trying to win points with Morgana, she will miss this prize. If only we could train our dog to fetch and drop things between characters. ;) I always save just in case I get the wrong reaction. Of course telling Alistair," sorry honey but you really aren't my type", works just as well. He might cry about it though? Not sure about that.
