Shamino248
Hey there! I'm currently making a mod for my companions, but there is one thing I can't find a solution for, so I hope you can help me! :) When I add weapons or armor with a decreased status (health) via GECK to the inventory of the vanilla companions, ingame those items will always be at 100%! This is true for everyone except for Lily (and the critters I guess). So there must be something that tells the humanoid companions to magically repair their stuff to 100% as soon as they get it, so any ideas where I can find and disable this? Oh and speaking of decreased health: Is there a way to allow the wear and tear-feature (weapons and armor) for companions, too? I think they originally wanted to include this, because there are dialogues for the companions to tell you when their gun is broken, so there must be a way. ^^ Thanks in advance! Cheers! Shamino248
Well, I found the solution. It seems that the health for new inventory items only works for the very first initialization of an NPC in most cases, not all: for Lily who I already met before, the new items in her inventory will at the correct health-value, while on the other side Raul, who I never met before in this game, will have everything at 100%. That's a bit odd.So new inventory items will be added, but the game will ignore their health in most cases for some reason. However, starting a new game will place all items with their correct health. Now I'm still looking for a way to enable the decrease of weapons and armor for companions, so anyone got an idea?
viking99
did you use the conditioned version of the armor or weapon? i.m.o they do not work. try adding the full health item version and decrease the quality manually in the inventory.
Shamino248
Thank you!Yeah, health for items that you bring into a current game seems to have some issues (unless you use a script to inject them of course). But well, it could be worse, and as long as everything is fine for new games that's okay. If I could just find the option for weapon-decrease, it drives me crazy! :pirate:
