Can someone please, for God sake, tell me what the hell is going on. I did a complete reinstall of Windows 32bit and now as i try and reinstall Fallout New Vegas and FOMM, I get this when I try to open the FOMM.

I start out with windows update on the microsoft website.

(You can get there by the start menu/set program access an defaults/add new programs/Windows update)

Install the active X control that allows microsoft to scan you puter.

Take the Service pack first.

Then the high priority.

Then see if there are optionals you can use by opening the + sign. (you would have to read an know what it means though, it's optional)

I don't really use signed drivers. I prefer to get them from that hardware's website.

That's only if I don't have it on disk though. I prefer to use the disk that came in the box.

FNV would require current updated drivers though, so you should go to the website for that piece of hardware.

For example the grapics card is Nvida so I go to that website to get the driver.

Control panel/system/hardware/device manager

This will list your hardware but more importantly any hardware which is missing a driver will have a big yellow ? next to it.

.NET framework

Direct X

Visual C++

Java

Adobe flash player

That's all I put on the fresh system to play FNV an FO3.

The problem you are having is because you probably don't have .NET framework Which I think is required for FOMM/NVMM.

However you need it for other things too, it's used a whole lot. There are more than a few versions though.

You'll probably need... :/

.NET framework 1.1

.NET framework 2.0 service pack 2

.NET framework 3.0 service pack 2

.NET framework 3.5 service pack 1

.NET framework 4 client profile
