mrdefender1983
For FO3 I had made myself a mod that combined parts of other mod's game settings (force lockpick, pickpocket, speech chances, terminal hacking, etc...) which worked fine. So I found the appropriate mods for FNV and did the same... only it doesn't seem to work?I also made changed some stats on some armor and used a quest script in fo3 to give myself the items, did so for fnv as well but the game says that the quest doesn't exist. All mods I have installed thru nmm work fine, even the ones I unzipped myself work fine.I used the FNV geck (from steam) to create these mods, they're activated... they just don't seem to be working in the game...What's wrong? Moraelin
Well, if the other stuff works, the only conclusion is that you did something wrong. Hard to tell what, though, because the number possible things that don't work is higher than the number of things that work.
mrdefender1983
I uninstalled the game, the geck, deleted the folders, rebooted and reinstalled everything and now the mods work. not sure what happend. something didn't get saved properly.I also added a message to my mods that basically say "mod loaded" so they both work... still running into an odd problem though..My game settings work but for my gear, I still can't get the quest variable method to work as it did in FO3.. In FO3 I could open up the console, type in Set DefenderFO3Gear.GiveItems to 1 and it would give me my stuff thru the appropriate quest. My FNV follows pretty much the same method but if I try this method it says "GiveItems" is not a valid script variable... ??? Can we not use QuestNames in FNV? Moraelin
Hmm, I never accessed a script variable that way, so no idea. I guess you could put the items in some chest, though. It's easier than with scripts, IMHO.
mrdefender1983
Used to do it with my mods in oblivion and morrowind, as well as FO3. thought it would work here but it keeps giving me the same error :(
Fallout2AM
If you do it via console, you must use the hex ID of the quest, with ""i.eSet "05000ADE".MyVariable to
