Crash issues, weird one.

Acer Aspire 5740

Intel i3 core 330m (2.13Ghz, clocked at 3.21Ghz)

IntelGraphics Media Accelerator HD up to 762MB DVMT

2Gb RAM (now 4Gb)

500Gb HDD

 

Back story:

Bought the game many years ago, it worked. Fine, even if only on lowest settings. Grabbed many mods, still worked. Then one day, wouldnt work. Got it working again, albeit buggy. Then i wanted a new game, so, i started one. And every time i try to leave doc mithells place, the game crashes on the loading screen. No, mods. Full vanilla. 1.4 patch.

 

The game loads fine, and plays fine, until i try and leave the docs house. Every time. No matter what.

 

I cant how ever re install the game, my cd drive wont connect and i dont have adsl or wifi (using mobile for this).

 

Any ideas on what the problem is? Or if it can even be fixed? Shame if it cant. Will have to wait to get a new system to play it again>.>
