Actually that is several questions in one. Have to break it down.

1. It is essential that you prepare the XCOM game for modding. Read and follow the "Basic Guide to installing mods" wiki article. Be sure to follow the linked articles in the "Environment" section. Yes it is long and scary. The length is because it explains why each step is necessary and has to cover a number of different situations. (PatcherGUI has built-in the ability to make the necessary hex changes for you, under "Options". See the "ReadMe" link on the download page.)

2. Installing mods with PatcherGUI: Install PatcherGUI to it's own folder. Unpack mod files to their own subfolder, using separate ones for EU and EW. This can be under the PatcherGUI folder or elsewhere. Run PatcherGUI and navigate to the folder with your mods. Select the mod to install. You need to point to the "steamapps\common\XCom-Enemy-Unknown" folder for EU mods, and the one level deeper "..\XEW" folder for EW mods.

3. Install (and test) ALL other mods before TexMod. Read the "Modifying textures" wiki article for why and the correct procedure.

(Next time, ask sooner than after wasting two months. This is one of the hardest games to mod you will find. If you take the time to really read the "Basic Guide" you will understand why we say that.)

Thank you for the help like I said I am new to make modding outside games that have no world creator. Just by you explaining this the first thing I need to do is factory default xcom enemy within. Then reinstall long war in its own sub folder. Then the rest will be a sinch lol. Thanks agin dubiousintent.
