Watermage525
there are probably places that would be better suited for this, though im am somewhat flustered. i recently looked into making new meshes and textures, to little avail... i got blender, it works fine, i got nifscope, which also works fine, but when i got the gimp, as well as the plug ins for normal maps, dds files, gimp win remote, and the gtk set up thing... i started up gtk, then i started up the gimp, after it finished intalling, i launched it, and it worked fine, i X-ed it out, when to a dds file, when i hit "open with gimp win remote" an error came up gimp-win-remote 3.0.0usage: gimp-win-remote.exe gimp-x.x.exe file1 file2 ... as ive said, i cant come up with why this may be, and ive asked a few other people i though might irl, again, to no avail... please, has any1 encountered this? or better yet, know why this is as it is? Abramul
I would suggest changing the association to gimp-2.2 (or whatever version yours is), and seeing if that works. That's how mine is set up, and I've never had problems.

Abramul
Find a .dds file. Right click on it, and select "Properties".There's a "Change..." button to the right of the Opens With: field. Click it.If Gimp-#.# shows up in Recommended Programs or Other Programs, double-click it.If not, you'll need to use the Browse button. You may want to find what file path GIMP is at, a search for gimp-*.* (possibly gimp-*.*.exe, try this first) should find it.
