Help w/ load order, clean up and crashes

The top spoiler here lists the correct load order you need.

The bottom spoiler holds the mods installed information's only

mods marked with (-) mean they are not installed or active.

Mods marked with (+) are installed and are active.

The mods list are not in order, the load order is....and your saved game loaded with that load order should operate correctly.

Like i said, I have your game loaded currently , using it to test other mods with.

I rarely have time to start fresh games myself due to testings others bugs.

------------------------

C:\user\(username) < that's you\apps\fallout3\plugin.txt

you open that in note pad and edit it to reflect the top spoiler tag here....Contents...AKA the load order template. save it and run the game.

fallout 3 will respond ...IF you have these mods installed and not all screwed up.

If you have edited any of these mods..AKA cleaned them? then NO, the game will NOT run.

Thanks for explaining it! Makes sense now (I think). With any luck on Monday I'll have some time to work on this and I'll let you know the results.

Is there a good resource to learn about how to determine what a good load order is and what tools I'd need? Cuz next after FO3 will be New Vegas

well then you need me ....LOL. really...Giggles... My Android system has problems with this web site so some of the editing app's here do not work.

But. I can direct you to the mods and tools you'll need.

NV site file side..search term Fork.

there your gonna find Fomm Forked...your gonna want an earlier version due to OS changes world wide, 12 version won't work. I know why too but it's not important, what's important you grab the (FOMM-54991-0-14-11-9) from that web page...if it is corrupted, you will need to track it down on git hub.

Why...ok, here's why it works and the others don't.

  1. Because IT contains all 3 required xlive *.dll's needed for internet connectivity authentications in steam and current OS checks.
  2. Now, windows teams put a ton of time and money into making sure you people will have access to their games.
  3. It just so happens the data required was already here....what's not here "in the updated programs" are these antiquated obsoleted files.

That's why thing went all to heck. This Fomm will work for two games only.

This fomm will work from inside Mod Organizer too and flawlessly but not 38. 18 only.

Mo contains NCC...that is the nexus mod manager tweaked to fit Mo's profiling system.

Fomm Overrides that "TRUMPS IT".

you have seen my screen shots, you see me helping people at light speed, you might wonder how ?

well, I know what to do, and I know what to watch out for too...and when the apple cart get's tipped !...I pick it back up.

Templates once used long ago are considered Obsolete...only problem with that is this...those mods are still here and people need the correct data to use them..OLD or not.

Language problems...alphabet soup !.

I have posted the templates online, I have backups on imaged CD's they are not going anywhere.

I use all these games, I have purchased enough stuff to buy 5 homes with.

My only interest here is to see you play the games before they are no more. Because 32bit is going away and no 32bit games will run.

you seen fallout Shelter, the game on iOS and android...I have it too. That's Linux hun. Not windows.

systems are changing , and fast. so you grab what you can while you can.

I've reconfigured my load order and removed the mods you suggested. So far so good.

Disabled MMM for now as I'm still on the fence about whether I like it. Haven't played too much yet but a good sign is that Mothership Zeta actually loads now instead of crashing every single time. The real test will be playing it for a couple of hours which I hope to do tomorrow. I'm also going to try out CASM as an option to save the game vs. the vanilla auto-save which I've read can corrupt your game eventually.

Agreed, I'm going to leave the game as is, assuming everything is now working okay (and I'll report on that later) I'm very happy with how the game looks and feels so I don't see the need to add anything else to it. At this point it looks great and if it plays well I just want to finish my first play through on a new-look Fallout 3 without any further issues.

I have built some of the most incredible mods that take so little space but are very powerful imaging things in game...one's taste being of issue that is.

I don't upload these things. I have now way to support what i do, all I can do is provide screen shots of the worlds i build.

Too much fighting to deal with... to allow it to detracts me.

worlds that can't be reproduced. Excessively constructed.

An example of My version of a dead Holistic world..

Dun witch Building hold dark secrets, more than I thought was there....tie in some other things and then add on a mod or two, things get really bad.

If your squeamish? not a game to play. At night..! game set to real time..12 hours in game is 12 hours sitting there...at night

it gets intense.

Man, I can't even really begin to thank you for fixing my game. I've played over 2 hrs now without a single crash, which I know might sound crazy but I was getting ctd at least once an hour, sometimes more. I hadn't even realized until now that the lighting mods weren't working correctly, Project Reality now looks fantastic as do all the texture mods, the GNR mod works great which adds so many wonderful songs to the radio.... Really I'm astonished, and I thought my "modded" version looked pretty good. Just with the few tweaks you've helped me make it looks 1000% better and best of all it seems stable.

I think my downfall was in adding performance mods before I knew if they were necessary. I just assumed, since FO3 is a bit unstable on newer OS, that I'd need them. Example - I said Mothership Zeta was working. Well during my couple of hours I started it again, and it kept freezing right at the start after you're abducted. Turns out it was the PCB mod (purge cell buffers) that I had activated again. Totally unnecessary mod, got rid of it. Mothership Zeta works again.

I've noticed that Stutter Remover does actually work, until I re-activated that the game was a bit choppy when loading in scenery. I'm assuming the Unofficial Patch is also necessary.

Your mods sound cool. 12 hr nights though I don't know if I could handle that :D They're dark enough already with the mods I have. But I do want to play through again after this run, now that things are more stable and I think I understand a bit more clearly how "heavy" modding works.

"heavy modding".uh yeah, well ,here, on the nexus, I think every one here does that without thinking already.

now, if I reword things a bit.."experienced heavy modding", that's some thing I can show you. I can't offer much though, I just try to Undue damage from mistaken beliefs.... Americans call it "eye candy" a syndrome that takes hold of the brain and simply floods it with all kinds of wonder.

LOL, well i want that too in others but in a more controlled way.

Here is just a small gallery of shots I kept so not to forget what can take place, it's not much.

http://postimg.org/gallery/2oxi011na/

I used to host them here. My steam profile houses others I do use.

I have this Cigar box completely full of 32gig and 64gig Toshiba flash drives , these hold completed games + mods and all.

they are numbered so I can find things fast. I have a log, sort of xml spreadsheet. when I need to see a set of mods most common, the names and dates of these mods are listed on that spreadsheet, but they are many times listed.

I use lotus notes too, a very old program but it's super fast, that is used to scan data in my documents so not to write to them.

I find some things close, get the number, dump the box on the table and Cat my way to the drive's number I need.

sounds messy huh? 1 minute I have the data, reading it loading it is the time user...the PC can't keep up with me so I wait for it.

open things, inspect things, then come back to a page...here and recoup where I left off and compare notes....if what I find is good enough to pass, I simply copy it to the hard drive if it is compressed ,IF not, I fire up Mo installer and make a fresh install for that user name and game....point MO to that drive for the mods and game files.

I don't screw around. but I am only human...it's the darn machines that get in the way.....LOL. and it's not just mine !

when your at work, your thinking about how things go there, how the order of things "are supposed to be", but it always seems something is just not right....no matter how or what is done to make it right....it's just there, hanging over your head, in the back of your mind.

My Idea's come off harsh...why?....Life is harsh, it's instant gratification we deal with...it's a light show, pix-elated light show.

Gimme, gimme, gimme...and we deal with that...harshly...but also softly too @ the same time.

Languages means the differences, one persons meanings means something else in another language or how it was used...the context or the way it is conveyed...this is not just in humans, it's also written into code too....pieces of US all are in there too.

Think.....understand....can't understand...look and find out....still not understanding.....look some more, gave up...went back ...tore the darn thing apart and learned the language...deleted it all ...went back...grabbed a fresh copy.....Understand way beyond before and then some more...NOW we know what it all meant....now we control what takes place and can re-write it correctly....if not ,we put Either a block wall up, plug the hole it makes "UP" or fix it some way to make it work..last thing..walk away and do something else which means nothing that was done was worth all of this from the very beginning. Poof. it's all digital vapor.

German "Uber" means Super ? my guess...how ever. Uber modded game can look like this:

Or this:

Just depends on your point of view as too how the games should behttp://s26.postimg.org/cvrpglp8p/Verify_2.jpg
