Easily broken armor/weapons

@David Brasher

Please read my previous posts to understand why I want breaking easier.

@Telyn

Your armor might get trashed after a battle, but most of mine are not especialy my modded armor and enemy armor. Besides I am not happy with it being "trashed". I want it destroyed more easily. I think this would work well with unequip broken armor mod and would add more strategy to the game as I mentioned in my previous posts many times.

@Maskar

No. Just no. I'm not using disetegrate armor/weapon enchants. I told you why. Besides that wouldn't even get close to the effect I'm talking about.

Besides for me battle doesn't last long because I use deadly reflex 5.0 w/ increased weapon damage by 250% for npc and pc and chance at 60-70%, UV, midas magic, chargeable spells combined with 3x more magic for both npc and pc which is a deadly combo, handtohand max damage to 34 at master, lvl uncap, and almost all the weapons and armor I use is form some kinda mod. So, yeah, my fights are fastpaced, short, violent and imo more realisic. I would like a mod to break at speed that is more compatiable with my playstyle.

My apologies, Avith. I did read the whole thread but somehow still misunderstood that you wanted it utterly destroyed rather than what I consider "broken." Your response to me clarified that. Thank you. I was trying to help, but unfortunately wasn't helping. I hope you find a solution.

It is mystifying why your armor and weapons are so durable. That belonging to me and my companions is always breaking. I see NPCs running around bare and weaponless because their armor and weapons are trashed. In some mods I have even put in scripting so that they can be rearmed. I would have to disagree with the comment that was posted saying it is impossible for NPC armor to be destroyed and have it's health drop to 0. It happens to me all the time, and I have had to change quest coding to deal with it. Granted, NPCs will continue to wear broken armor with health of 0 for awhile, but if you fast travel or leave the NPCs and then come back later, the computer will reevaluate and the NPCs will no longer have the broken gear equipped and will have an immodest amount of skin showing. I should state that my game build is rather lightly modded with only about 80 mods and no popular overhaul mods, so I believe that this aspect of my game is unmodded.

Fur pieces start at 50 health each. Daedric can have over 2000 health each. As hitting an NPC will have random armor damaged you usually have a 1 in 6 chance to hit a certain item. Disintegrate armor does a maximum of 100 damage to health of a single armor piece and even then you will not be able to break high leveled armor. Daedric armor sets have over 10k health. You will have to cast it easily over 100 times to break this set. Hitting with weapons will probably take all day. Doubt enemy NPCs will last that long.

@Telyn

No worries here. My apologies for being a bit stern on the issue. I just get a little stressed when I make a request and why I'd like it and mostly get the "well I don't have that problem" or "your request isn't my cup of tea". I just find that kinda rude and unhelpful. I know that isn't your intent though and I shouldn't be stern when I am making a request, so I am also sorry.

@David Brasher

That would make sense in your case, since your game isn't heavily modded, but please understand why this mod would work great for me or others in my situation. My game IS heavily modded. Battles end much quicker for me, due to many of the mods posted above. As a result, my armor and weapons don't take much damage, and nor does my enemy. I just simply would like a mod that works better with a playstyle like my own and I can actually put the unequip broken equip to use.

@Maskar

If I were to use disentegrate item enchants (which I refuse to) and increase the effect that would be rather one sided, as many NPCs don't use disentegrate enchantments. The effect I want would also affect handtohand and non-enchanted weapons, not only weapons enchanted with disentegrate. As for your second suggestion, I don't want NPCs to only wear wimpy armor, just so it will be damaged faster. I stated exactly what I wanted before. Thank you for the suggestion, but that's not what I want for good reason.

If this mod is not possible or no one is willing to take on my request, . . . I supose I'll just have to learn how to mod and make this myself. I've never modded before, but I'd really like this mod to be invented.

Doing what you want done requires 0 modding experience and if you like to do this, i suggest the following:

1. Install and start the Construction Set;

2. Load the Oblivion.esm master file;

3. Select (double click) the first armor piece;

4. Modify the health value;

5. Repeat 3-4 for every armor/weapon piece;

6. Save under whatever eps filename you like;

7. Done, heh.

BTW if you're indeed using a heavy modded game I'm guessing you use an overhaul mod (OOO, frans, FCOM, whatever) and therefore already have npcs use weaker armor. The idea is that npcs like bandits, etc. don't wear the best armor, but instead wear weaker/easier to break armor. That was the reason of my second suggestion.

@Maskar

I see what you mean. I finally started messing with Construction Set, and you're right it's not hard at all to change the health of the armor. Damn though! It's gonna take a very long time to mod each individual armor and weapon piece. Is there a shortcut? lol. I hate to sound lazy, but wow! This will take a long while to edit! If this is my only option, I'll do it I supose. Also thank you, for that suggestion.
