Gilyne Omarel, Bal Isra

Gilyne looked up from his scabbard and glanced at the Dunmer lady in Imperial armor. He wiped the sweat from his brow and set down his tools.

"What do you need, miss?"

She unbelted her scabbard and set the sword on the table before the smith, "I'd like you to just hammer some of the nicks out of Frostfang, here. Careful, though. She's got a nasty frost enchantment."

Velanya waited for the smith to assess the damage and give her a price. Ebony was hard to work - enchanted ebony even harder - and she was prepared to pay a hefty sum for the repair.

Dar'krinji. Fort Floodgate

Dar arrived just as Kriak stood over Lecuaro, telling him of the poisions affects.

He bid the atronach to leave, and scoffed at himself, once again seconds late. Although he thought the woodsmans trick to be quite dirty, he didn't care, it was over.

"Good job, once again woodsman."

Gilyne pulled the sword from it's scabbard and looked over the damage on the blade. It was an ebony longsword, and used to he would have had no idea what to do with such a dense and hard material. But ever since Adrynn acquired that Daedric Katana of his, he had been researching and learning how to work with ebony and fix the dents and knicks that comes through use in battle.

"That'll be 2000 septims miss," Gilyne said, sliding the sword back in its scabbard and laying it on the table.

Velanya whistled, but opened a pouch at her belt and produced two, one-thousand septim coins. She set them on the table beside her sword, all the while thinking, There goes the retirement fund.

Gilyne pocket the gold and pulled out the sword and laid it on his anvil. He glanced over to the Dunmer lady in Imperial armor. "Give me a few minutes and it'll be good as new" He then set the sword in his forge and heated the material, waiting till the correct temperature was reached so he could work the hard ebony.

Velanya nodded, then returned to Caius's side.

"Fixing up your weapon, eh? Not a bad idea," he remarked.

"Figured I should," she answered, "Don't know when we'll next see a forge."

The two fell silent as they resumed waiting on Edward to arrive, and for the smith to finish work on Frostfang. Velanya wondered how Caius would continue to hide his identity from the black-haired man, when Commander Lecuaro or the other Blades at the safehouse would surely recognize him. Perhaps it was Caius's intention to eventually recruit Edward as a Blades Novice as well. Only time would tell.

Lecuaro Sulnair Marczon - Fort Floodgate, The Second Challenge

Lecuaro stayed moving through the hallways, but then he heard voices...Kriak's and Dar'Krinji's voices, and stopped. He peered around the wall and saw the pair and poor Relbren Edmontere imprisoned by Kriak's spell. Took a while to make that replica and to master the illusion spell that masked one's face. He chucked at how the vial containing a liquid magically attuned to his own scent had worked. When he first saw Dar'Krinji's earring, he immediately recognized it as a trinket from Sheogorath...and flesh atronachs weren't off limits. Still, it was surprising just how easily deceived the atronach was and how once again he'd gotten the best of Kriak, if only barely.

As Kriak finished talking, Lecuaro spoke the word that cancelled the face-masking spell, revealing Relbren's frightened face to the Khajiit and hunter. Good thing he was as tall as Lecuaro. Helped make it all the more convincing. So Kriak's eye is somewhat predictable after all...the commander thought to himself as he stole off silently down the hall and through a few rooms. He was glad Sorinyarie was a master illusionist...he knew nobody else capable of bending the detectable part of a person's life force to imitate that of another.

Lecuaro could only snicker as he widened the gap. Two decades of being a legionnaire and almost seven years of being a Blade had given him access to all the ploys and special equipment and spells one could imagine...and if nothing else, he knew that Kriak would certainly be a little more humble in their next conversation.

Dar'krinji. Fort Floodgate

As the Lecuaro's face changing spell dissipated from the mans face, Dar was only slightly suprised. "Of course, he isnt here," he mumbled

He beckoned the flesh atronach to reappear, once again putting it on the trail of the bretons life essence. This time though, he wouldn't be able to mask it, as the atronach attuned to his specific essence. He sprinted off with the atronach, looking over his shoulder for the woodsman.

Gilyne pulled the ebony blade from the heat and quickly and deftly struck the knicks in the blade, sealing them closed. Just as quickly, he dunked the blade in a nearby trough of water, quenching it. He then ran the length of the blade down a waterstone and sharpened it to a razor's edge. Sliding the blade back in it's sheath, he laid it on the table and slid it closer to the Dunmer Knight. Smiling quickly, he pulled out his leather working tools and continued on the scabbard for Edward.
