AurianaValoria1
Velanya Therys, Fort Floodgate, Blades Safehouse Bunk Room Velanya met her commander's wide-eyed gaze and quietly nodded. He must've dreamed the same thing as I. She found she could not speak...she could barely breathe. She tried to fight it, tried to keep it inside - but she just couldn't. It was too much, just too much... Velanya Therys, Knight of the Legion, began to sob uncontrollably. She hid her mouth in her sleeve to muffle herself, but it did little good. "Gods...what's happening to us?!" Edited October 8, 2011 by AurianaValoria1
darkedge42392
Adrynn Indarys, Fort Floodgate, Blades Safehouse Adrynn's eyes opened slowly. What they saw brought a smile to his weathered face. Garila stood before him, her dark blue dress wafting in the breeze. Her hair seemed shorter, but she was as beautiful as ever. They stood in a shining hall full of paintings and tapestries of the past. A smile crossed her lips as she stepped closer and wrapped him in her arms, bring warmth to his tired body. Her lips pressed against his ear and she whispered softly into it. Adrynn, you will face more terrifying enemies in the coming days than you have ever faced before. You will succeed though, because you must. All of Morrowind, nay, all of Tamriel deems that you succeed in these struggles. They will make you stronger than ever. Adrynn stiffened in Garila's arms, his mind trying to understand this message. A soft scent of roses reached his nose and his mind blanked in utter shock. Impossible. He took a slow step back, then another, stepping out of the arms of his wife, his eyes taking in every detail. Garila smiled softly, before she stretched out her arms, a small, shining object suddenly appearing between them. He glanced down and couldn't believe his eyes. A ring danced in the light, a shining silver crescent moon beside a blazing golden star shone in his eyes. A single thought entered his mind, Fear not, Adrynn Indarys of House Redoran. My Moon and Star is not your enemy. Instead, beware those of the rising dawn. They bring chaos and destruction to my people. Adrynn's eyes settled on his wife's face and he knew, then and there that it was not Garila. "Azura," he whispered as his eyes snapped open, a sheen of sweat covering his body. AurianaValoria1
Caius Cosades, Fort Floodgate, Blades Safehouse Bunk Room He saw a blazing fire...tall as the tower of White Gold, engulfing everything. The sky was the color of blood, crackling yellow lightning streaking across the horizon. He could feel the heat of the inferno singing his hair and his skin. It was everywhere - inescapable. His home! His home was in flames! The City was burning! People screamed, snatching up their children and running into him in their desperate attempt to escape. Imperial troopers surged forth against...dremora? They rushed past, their horsehair helms bobbing against a tide of swarming daedra. He tried to draw his weapon, but he couldn't move. He opened his mouth to yell, but no sound came out. Suddenly, the flames of the city morphed into five fiery dragons. They roared and snarled at a six-armed giant that slammed its fist into White Gold Tower, sending the palace's spire crumbling like dust into the streets below. The giant caught four of the serpents by the necks, plunging a terrible blade into the hearts of each. But the fifth escaped his grasp, leaping into the air and gaining flight, circling about the giant's head defiantly. It roared in fury, turning its head in Caius's direction... ...and he saw that its eyes were blue... Caius sat up, shivering as the cool air hit his sweat-drenched body. His eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness of the room, and he was surprised to see the forms of Lecuaro, Adrynn, and Velanya sitting up as well. The commander was wide-eyed, Adrynn was looking around, and Velanya was crying. What the hell just happened? nethgros
Dar'Krinji. Fort Floodgate, Courtyard Dar had been sitting in the courtyard and meditating for what seemed like forever. He had been sitting there as everyone else frolicked throughout the mess hall, he could hear them. He also assumed that he had been here all night as they slept. The sun was rising now, the dawn had come upon him and he still didnt know why he was here. Suddenly he heard somthing on the battlements, and he looked up. Standing there with the sun at her back was a beautiful dunmer woman, with a flowing azure dress. She simply stood there and they stared at each other for quite some time. Dar noticed she had a look on her face, one of sadness, or perhaps pity. Then Dar opened his eyes, still sitting in the courtyard. He looked up, and she wasnt there. Had she ever been? Dar thought so, and wondered what the others were doing. He got up, and left the courtyard in search of his companions.
XanAlderon
Edward Wildeve, Fort Floodgate, Blades Safehouse Bunk Room Edward didn't dream anymore, he had lost that ability long ago. Tonight was different, somehow... he knew this wasn't a dream. He wasn't creating these images, they flashed before him, to quick to grasp meaning. One image lingered... Caroline, saying something, talking to him urgently... he couldn't hear her, couldn't make out the words. Shock hit him, it was as she looked the day she died, so beautiful, so fragile. 'Azura' he made out the single word she was saying, this thing, taking the image of Caroline said. And he was filled with the most all consuming rage, Azura, this god, dared to form the image of Caroline, killed by the gods. All logic cleared from his mind as Edward screamed at Azura, cursing her, cursing the world. All the feelings kept since Caroline's death came flooding out. Edward had his sword, and he ran at Azura, shuddering and crying. Caroline looked at him, a great sadness in her eyes. He stopped, his sword dropping. He couldn't attack her, couldn't attack even the image of Caroline, Edward sunk to his knees and woke up. "AZURA!" he screamed.
darkedge42392
Adrynn Indarys, Fort Floodgate, Blades Safehouse Adrynn's head snapped to Edward's bunk, his ears not believing the word coming out of his retainer's mouth. This is impossible! Adrynn thought as he leaped out of bed and hurried to Edward. "Edward, what did you see?" Adrynn asked, laying a hand on the other man's shoulder, his mind still reeling from his own dream. He tried to shake the other man out of it. It didn't seem to be working. "Edward! Tell me what you saw!"
AurianaValoria1
Velanya Therys, Fort Floodgate, Blades Safehouse Bunk Room Adrynn popped up in bed like a jack-in-the-box, shortly followed by Caius and then Edward, who screamed Azura's name with a frightening fury. Adrynn rushed over to his retainer's side, trying to shake the vision from his mind. Velanya could barely make out Caius in the darkness at the far end of the room, who seemed almost frozen in confusion along with Lecuaro. Velanya forced herself to stop crying, swallowing hard and wiping her tears away on her sleeve...it would do no good for Adrynn to see her like this, and she was ashamed to break down in front of her commander. She focused her blurry gaze past Caius's bunk to the curtained window, and saw a tinge of pink tinting the casement. Dawn already. It didn't feel as if she'd rested at all. She was more exhausted than she was when she went to bed. "We...we can't have dreamed the same thing. We just can't. Can we?" She asked softly. Velanya was still quite disturbed by her vision, and her voice quavered slightly. She looked around her, "Where's Kriak? And Dar?"
XanAlderon
Edward Wildeve, Fort Floodgate, Blades Safehouse Bunk Room Edward sat up. Someone ran over, yelling at and shaking him, he dimly registered it as Adrynn. Edward stared vacantly at a miscellaneous brick, his mind numb, recovering from the dream. A sharp pain came quickly, snapping him to reality. Adrynn had opened a wound on his arm he realised first, where he was he realised second. Adrynn saw the greater clarity in his eyes and stopped shaking him, resting his arm on his shoulder instead. Edward pushed down hard on his knees to stop his uncontrollable shuddering. He calmed himself breathing deeply, before looking up at Adrynn's worried face. "I saw a damn god" he said simply, quietly.
darkedge42392
Adrynn Indarys, Fort Floodgate, Blades Safehouse Adrynn nodded. "Aye, I saw her too." He glanced around the room. Everyone was shaken in some form or another. He noticed Velanya's puffy eyes and knew that she had been crying. "Who else had a message from Azura?" AurianaValoria1
Velanya Therys, Fort Floodgate, Blades Safehouse Bunk Room Velanya nodded in answer to Adrynn's question, "I did. She didn't say anything - but she didn't have to." She pulled the blanket closer to her, suddenly feeling rather chilled.... Caius Cosades, Fort Floodgate, Blades Safehouse Bunk Room Caius was baffled. It seemed most of them had dreamed of Azura, but he hadn't. Perhaps it had been sent by her, nonetheless. But, how could they all have had such nightmares at the exact same time? It made no sense...then again, the work of the gods often didn't make any sense. "I didn't dream of Azura - not sure what the hell I dreamed about - but it certainly could have been her handiwork, Adrynn." He then looked to Lecuaro, wondering what he had seen.
