osmodius
Is there a mod that removes the generic(non-quest) Npcs that stand around the cities, because they really drop my fps down to about 20 and I dont like that at all, I keep my Npc fade at about half, I have a 2.8 GHz processor and 6GB of DDR3 RAM, and I run a Radeon HD 5750 Graphics card. Any tips other than removing the npcs myself?
David Brasher
Be sure that you aren't using any mods that will kill your frame-rate like Open Cities or Better Cities. Don't use certain armor or weapon mods with a really high poly-count. Don't use hi-res texture replacers. Some people say that the popular Oblivion overhaul mods decrease their system performance. Check up on the maintenance of your computer. Run Defrag, Scan-disc, and your virus checker. Remove unneeded files. Make sure you don't have a lot of background operations running when you play Oblivion. Do not play Oblivion while connected to the Internet. Ive tried everything except playing while not connected to internet so ill try that now thanks.
