encinodude
Does anyone know if there's a simple way in the toolset to make massive helmets hide the character's eyes as well as the rest of the face without you needing to directly edit the meshes? This has always bugged me. It would be perfectly fine if there was some sort of shadow effect on the eyes, but as it is for most of the massive helmets it looks super catoony. encinodude
Bumping in hopes that someone knowledgeable on the subject sees this. Is there no known way to make massive helmets hide the wearer's eyes? In past playthroughs, I think I recall that not all massive helmets had visible eyes... encinodude
New findings: this seems to be a bug that affects my party, and not other NPCs. I currently have Alistair equipped with a Templar helm and it doesn't hide his eyes at all, making for a goofy floating effect. On the other hand, on Templars (like the one you meet when you first enter Lothering) their eyes are hidden almost completely (as if shadowed), making for a way more realistic effect. So, without a doubt, it is possible for any massive helmet to hide a character's eyes. It's just not working on my party members for some reason. I have tested numerous massive helmets to confirm this. UPDATE: I've narrowed down the cause of the problem. I have a custom headmorph for Alistair, with custom eyes. Upon reverting to the default headmorph the helmet then hides his eyes like it normally would. The same goes for Sten. So the issue seems to be related to custom eyes.
