I am new to downloading and installing mods..i managed to download the nitro express weapon pack (gives you two nitro rifles and a nitro pistol) I did this by downloading from this site..then unpacking it with winrar..dragged the .esp file from winrar to my FONV data folder..ran the game and clicked data files on the main menu and made sure it was checked..the mod works fine and the guns were there in the game..the trouble i am having is with the Nasty Grandpa mod..at first try i used the same process to download the files..unpack them..then move them to my FONV data folder..i downloaded the original file at first without the updates and moved the .esp file to the data folder..this resulted in a reddish light where the gun was supposed to be in the game..and there were two white exclaimation marks on both sides of the light..then i downloaded the update file 3..and moved the .esp file to the data folder..with the same results..do i need to move each texture file etc. into the data folder along with the .esp file?..and if so..in what order?..Thank you in advance for any help

If I'm not mistaken, and Lord knows I could be because that was one of the first mods I got for NV. I just used the NVMM to place it. That works with some mods, with others not so much. Are you using the mod manager? If so, then you open it up, then choose "Package Manager." Sign in and from the new window choose "add FoMOD." Follow the prompts. Then activate it and on the original NVMM screen check it and drag it to where you want it in your load order.

Now REMEMBER, this works with mods that aren't packed as FoMODS, but not always. But initially, I didn't know that because in Oblivion, the OBMM would create the OMOD for you. So even if you place the Nasty Grandpa files manually, make sure the AEVegas.esp is in the steam-->steam apps-->common-->fallout new vegas-->data folder.

I'm pretty sure that's all I did. It's my favorite gun. I know you'll like it, so I hope you can get it to work. One tip, the 50 mg incendiary ammo is really effective. Not much can walk away from that gun unscathed.

Good luck, I hope I helped and didn't just confuse you more! o_O
