kisstheskye
So i started a new game, Everything seems to be working fine, But every time i goto the apparel section of my pipboy, it crashes the game. Is there anyway i can fix this? I thought it could be some clothing i was wearing, So i dumped the clothes in a metal box and tryed again, sure enough it crashed 1 second after i clicked on apparel. Any way i can fix this at all? I wouldn't want to have to reinstall my game for something so little :| edit: it does the same thing with the readius too. CTD once i click on apparel. kisstheskye
Alright, I found the problem, There must have been something wrong with the Menus folder and some of the content inside that folder, Cause after removing that folder from the data folder everything started to work like normal, Cause normaly when you start a new game and launch the pipboy you will get instructional pop ups telling you how to do something. I did not get these. But now i do and it fixed the problem.
zicrog
A bit old, but yea, deleting the menus folder in the data folder fixes the problem. Thanks for this thread. Bump please.
dubiousintent
When you delete the "Menus" folder, the game reverts to using the equivalent folder buried in the vanilla BSA file. Which in turn means: it was a mod you installed that broke things. So simply deleting the folder may in fact break other mods that deal with the "Heads Up Display" (HUD: which includes the Pipboy), "User Interface" (UI), or Menus. The problem originates from the "install order" in which you added mods. See the wiki article "HUD-UI-Menu Issues" which discusses this problem and the primary solution in depth. -Dubious-
