tonyd09
hey guys, I need help running NV as smooth as possible on my crappy laptop. I have a legit setup on Fallout 3, a mod that took out the mountain ranges and far away objects out and another mod that created a fog, very close around my player. I had a sketchy 12-24 fps outside in the wastelands, but with those mods it keeps it at a playable and stable 30 fps outside in the wastelands. I did some searching and found a video tutorial at youtube on how to make the mountain ranges on New Vegas to disappear, but I can't find a good mod that can add legit fog in my game :( the only one I could find was this mod: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39768the fog is still too far away for me to get stable gameplay. is there any way I could tinker with that mod to toggle the distance of the fog? kruftwark
Open the mod with FNVEdit, then open each of the entries in Weather (NVWastelandClear, etc.) Scroll down to find Day - Far and Night - Far, which should be highlighted in green. These are the values you'll want to reduce.
