TakeYourProzac Posted March 19, 2011 Share Posted March 19, 2011 I'm a working stiff, fifty or so hours a week, so I hope you'll forgive me if I can't muster up the motivation to browse through hundreds of gameplay mods just to test a few and realize they're not what I'm looking for. Thus, I turn to the wisdom of the crowd to recommend some mods that will help me tweak my NV experience. I'm looking for: 1) Scarce and Expensive Ammo. It's too easy to have a giant pile of 5.56 and .308 bullets waiting to annihilate anything with a pulse. I'd actually like to make every shot count. 2) Headshots Count. If you don't have a helmet, and I shoot you in the head, you are going down. Hell, even if I just blow your jaw off you're not going to keep shooting at me. I've got the Realistic Headshots mod installed already, but if there's a better one I'd like to know. 3) Respawning Baddies. Vipers, Jackals, Legion and NCR patrols, apparently once they see the bodies of their compatriots they give up and never return. Good move given the life expectancy of the last batch, but after killing everyone at Cottonwood Cove I'm surprised Caesar didn't send anyone to replace them. Is that all it takes to beat the guy? God, NCR is soft. 4) Damage Tweak. I installed and then uninstalled MAD because gunfights were short and one sided; whoever shot first won. I'm looking for a happy medium between not being able to stand out in the open like Rambo and dying because someone shot my toe off. As I type this, I realize I should have just written, 'Has anyone ported Wanderer's Edition to NV yet?' but since Project Nevada's gameplay tweaks aren't done yet, let's consider this a stopgap measure.
