Mod trouble, all weapon/armor mods are transparrent?

hi so i put .dds AND .nif files in meshes/texture in data folder

Fallout New Vegas\Data\Meshes\exaple.nif

Fallout New Vegas\Data\Meshes\example.dds

i put all dds and nif in both of them so just to make sure... yet it doesn't work, when i use then ingame-they turn into red ! icon and when I wear then my body/head is transparent? and I have activated

here is an example I am trying to usr RCSS

Fallout New Vegas\Data\Meshes\ and Bethesda Softworks\Fallout New Vegas\Data\Textures

i put all of the files i got from RCSS'd .rar and i put them in both of those folders, yet it doesn't work, I can spawn them, I can even get them in the locations that they said were on the readme, but it's a red ! icon and it's transparent

any kind of help is appreiacted cheers :whistling:
