clintmich
I am at my wits end. I've spent too many hours to count scratching my head, and going through countless hours looking at and studying every tutorial I can find on LOD creation. I just can't get it to work. Heres what Im doing: I am placing my LOD.tga textures into the BethesdaSoftworks/source/textures tga folder I run Generate Objects in the GECK, save then exit. I return to Bethesdasoftworks/source/textures tga/landscape/LOD/WastelandNV folder and copy the newly generated files. I place the files in Data/textures/landscape/LOD/WatelandNV folder Then I take the LODSettings folder that was created in my compatibility files and place it in the Data folder. I open up the GECK again and run Update LOD, then save, and close the GECK I cut and paste the new saved .esp file from my compatibility files into data files then make sure its checked off in FOMM, then run New Vegas Thats it, but the LOD still doesn't work on the building I created. Absolutly nothing is happening. I'm doing exactly what tutorials have told me to do, but to no avail. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Or is there a step i'm missing? Please help if you can. I have a great new quest mod that will be released as soon as this issue is figured out. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks clintmich
davidlallen
Unfortunately there is no way to correctly generate LOD for the main worldspace. There are several threads about this, including this one right now.
clintmich
Thanks for the heads up davidlallen. I wish I knew this sooner before I spent 12 hours on my day off trying to figure this out. Guess my mod is forced to be LODless. Oh well Thanks again for this information cheers
