Help please

WTF!!! I uninstalled new vegas and FOMM and after re installing all the mods and files are back?!?!?! What do I do when the game wont die? WHY WONT YOU DIE!!!!!!?

Uninstalling the game doesn't uninstall any mods. A better plan may be to uninstall, then *delete all remaining files* in Program Files\whatever\whatever\Fallout New Vegas, then reinstall. By skipping the second step, you have left all the mod files there. The game uninstaller doesn't know about your mods, so it won't remove them.

I make It a habbit to keep an archive of all my downloaded mods seperate from game files so if I have a serious problem I can remove FONV in its intiroty and quickly load up all my mods again. I also run a heavily modded game but in many cases when you have an issue like yu are discribing one of the mods you downloaded altered an object or texture from a previous mod or even the vanilla game. After following the directions of those above I would recommend a reinstall of the game not a full delete just re-install, sometimes it will repair the altered file after which use the FOMM package manager to remove and re-activating them. If this does not help try running FONV Edit to see if you have a critical error, you can fix a lot of problems using FONV edit but some of the techniques are hard for a novice, myself included. If you have exausted all these avenues then It is "my opinion" ,and I am not to be held responsible, that it is time to remove the game in its intiroty including steam and re-installing, your save games should be ok so long as you don't re install the offending mods. Like I said that is a last resort, and I wish you luck.
