Dragon Age: Origins Mod Masterlist

I'd like to start off by saying that I'm not a mod-creator. I don't know mods inside out and I'm a biomolecular engineer...know what that means? Means I can barely write java. I've played Oblivion ever since it came out and after beating the storyline once and then playing through for all the extra features, I turned to modding Oblivion so that I could experience the revolutionary and miraculous work of those that put time and effort into making what the original game-designers could not. After my oblivion mods, I was in awe at just how beautiful, in-depth, almost-realistic, and new the game was. The mods had shattered the old 'Oblivion' and recreated something of a 'Top 10 of the decade game'.

I don't know if I can link the Oblivion mod lists I used as an example of what I'm looking for...but I'm going to since they're from the same site (thenexusforums.com), so if I'm out of place; please let me know moderators. http://forums.bethsoft.com/?showtopic=790175&hl= which is the list I used after finding it linked here: http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/144119-a-beginners-pack/

I don't know if it says anything about my 'scripting' know-how that I can't even convert links to normal words in my paragraph, but from what you see in the links (if they don't get deactivated) I am looking for a masterlist for beginners basically. One list to answer all the 'what mod should I use cause I'm a nublet?' questions that plague the forums. I have no idea what should go on the list...but I know many of you have been playing Dragon Age: Origins for a long time and you've had the time, energy and know-how to come up with some amazing mods. I have NO DOUBT that there are some revolutionary mods that can seriously convert the original ground-breaking Dragon Age: Origins into a phenomenon of a game that can only be done through mods. So because of this: I'm asking for your help to create this list.

I eagerly look forward to seeing this list get pumped up and set up. I take no credit for anything that gets posted in this thread...I just take credit for asking for help from the large fan/modder base out there.

Thanks you again and I look forward to playing our new Dragon Age,

Mods for DA don't seem to work like the ones for Oblivion. (I don't have the latter, so am making the observation from what I've read here. Do have about 4GB of mods for DA though! ) In DA there is no "mod loader" or "load order" involved. The "mamagers" for DA mods simply handle some housekeeping chores, they don't "evaluate" the mods themselves.

A "Master Conflict list" would require analyzing every single file in every single mod on the list and determining if there are any that effect the same elements of the core game. THEN determining if the "overlapping" elements are in fact conflicting, since they might simply make the SAME changes.

Plus there's the question of "What's a conflict?" If two mods both make changes to, say, the dialogue options in Redcliffe, but that's the only place they both operate and they each make lots of changes elsewhere in the game, and the game will play without a problem with both installed, (although obviously only one will work for that part of Redcliffe) is that a "Conflict"? Maybe for one player, but not another.

"Trail and Error" (and personal preference) is really the only way to determine this.
