Iwasdrunkbro
Hello. I'd like to change 2 things to the Human Noble Origin so hopefully someone can help me out. First, Id like to change the Cousland Family Blade to a 2 hand greatsword and possibly change the stats on it so I can use it thorughout the game (atleast until I get Starfang). Id also like to change the weapons my character shows up with in the opening cutscene from a 1 hander and shield to a 2 hand greatsword. Im not the greatest with the toolset but I do know a few things. If someone could direct me towards a tutorial and give me a quick explanation on how to do either of these things that would be great! Thank you in advance.
DarkeWolf
Heyas Iwas :)There's a couple of mods out that already do this as far as changing the starting appearance of the cousland player. You can look them up to get some ideas on what all that this is going to involve.http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=303http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=395 Its going to involve some scripting as far as that goes about changing what the character wears at the start of the game. The cousland weapon is changed in those mods as well. I'm not at home so I can't really DL that mod and open up the .uti files. But you can open up the .uti file for the cousland family blade in the ToolSet (TS) and then choose to export it without dependancies. Then choose File/New/Item and create a new blade with the style and stats that you want.Name it whatever you want to, because you're going to be using it as a draft for the improved cousland sword. You have to do This, because once exported, they don't have the same format as they do before exporting. Save your new draft sword and then export it. Once you've got it exported, open up the exported version of your draft, and open the exported version of the cousland sword. Copy the information from your draft weapon to the cousland family blade, and then save the updated CFB (Cousland Family Blade) and drop it into your override folder. Changing the CFB will be the easy part. The whole bit about scripting the starting equipment.... not so much. I wish I could be more help to you on that particular part, but it's pretty involved, and right now I can't look at the resources from those files that I linked to. I do hope that this helps, and wish you good luck on this endeavor ;)
