It's not exactly a clean .Esm but they never are. It's a good DLC.

Rich characters an scary, totaly worth the mooney.

 

Coruption is caused from leaving your computer on for long periods without rebooting, like more than 8 hours, or geez 24 hours a day.

I try to exit fallout an launch it again as a "soft boot" a couple of times in a 6-8 hour period.

Then after it's been on 6-8 hours I'll exit windows an reboot the whole thing "hard boot"

 

Autosave, Quicksave, and Overwriting save games have caused coruption in the past, so most people just don't do that.

Press Esc to pause the game, then create a new save each time. Then don't use the continue button at the main loading screen, pick load an load a save game.
