Persistant Glow (specific colors)

I want to ask how persistent glow from enchanted weapons/armors work and how they can be modified. I am looking for specific ways of placing items that grant specific colors (such as the conventional red from items that damage fatigue, health and magicka or the other colors from other types of enchantments). The most important thing that I want to do is to find a way to customize colors not currently available through conventional enchanted items such as possibly adding the color effects of being hit by a damage health spell from a hostile creature (as this creates a distinctly dark/blackish aura around the character.

Using the enchant item function in-game, you can add enchantments to equipment thus modifying their persistent glow (often referred to as "cellophane" or "persistent membrane shader". This function has a limited range of colors since enchanted armor and weapons have only specific colors they can glow (red, green, yellow, blue, orange, etc.) however there are other colors available in game that you can glow if say you are the target of a hostile "damage health spell" (which invariably makes your character have a dark black-ish aura). There must be a way to take this color and bring to practical use (as it would make for a great way to make an evil looking character).

Any help on this would be great.

There are a couple of mods that directly affect this affect but their effects are to remove the persistent glow. If you look at the work on these mods maybe it will narrow the search down on where the appropriate things to modify are. (I don't really know how to do this myself or else I would have looked into it. If you could tell me how I would be glad to do it myself.)

No persistent glow mod
