[MOD REQUEST] Fix LOD and view distance

LOD is baked into each individual asset.

 

You have to convert each mesh you want changed into .fbx, when you do that an .xml file appears with various configurations and attributes including the distances at which each LOD is shown, you have to edit it then convert the file back into .w2mesh so that it uses the edited attributes .xml

 

A guy did this for the hair of the main NPCs, it's on the mods page, it would take forever to do for everything.

For LOD on NPCs this helped me, edit those values in user file in My Documents (user, not user.settings) and then launch game, exit, then make user.settings read only to prevent game from overreading your vales and it should be ok, works for me:

 

[Rendering]
TextureStreamingHeadsDistanceLimit=160
TextureStreamingReduceGameplayLOD=false
TextureStreamingCharacterDistanceLimit=320
MeshRenderingDistanceScale=10

 

As for view distance, all world is waiting for essenthy's mod release.
