No matter what I do and I have tried just about everything characters have no voices weapons have no sounds except mod weapons that came with custom sounds and every time I verify my steam cache nothing changes but i checked and have no sounds folder bar the one i made for mods.

Can I ask someone to upload the sound folder somewhere for me to download.

The only thing I have not tried is re-installing the game but i cannot try that because I have very limited internet data 5gig a month.

Thank you to anyone that sees this and replies.

Let me ask a couple questions. First, can you play music, etc. without going into the game? Second, do you have music when you start the launcher? Third, is this onboard audio, or are you using something like a Sound Blaster card?

First, check your sound setup, and see that it's all working correctly. Also, turn up your speakers just a touch.

Second, start your launcher, and see if you have some music there. (If not, then something is wrong, and you will need to skip a couple steps.)

Third, go into the game from the launcher. There should be more music there. (If not, you may need to skip a few steps.

Fourth, check the in game settings, and turn everything up. (At this point, you might have voice, etc., but might be low, that's okay, you may need to work on your system, and a bit with the game.)

Fifth, if still no sound, anywhere, then you may need to do some surgery, at this point. If you have sound with everything but New Vegas, then it can be a few things. The first one is a corrupt .bsa file. I would move fallout - sounds.bsa, and let steam reacquire it. Run the launcher, and the game, again, and see what happens. If still no sound, then you might have an .ini file problem. And that is a little beyond me. I would, however, run searches on sound problems with Fallout New Vegas, and see what there is out there.

Last, you may need to reinstall the whole game. After you do so, make a back up of the vanilla game, and put it somewhere safe. This way, you will have a clean copy, and can copy and paste it back in.
