lostinmymind
Well, I've seen a thread earlier about it but there wasn't a fix, so I gotta ask again. The Problem:Whenever I switch guns and try to draw, the character goes into a stiff-armed animation and everything seems to be disabled save for walking (which leads to this admittedly hilarious marching around with a completely stiff upper torso). Every key is disabled, only way to get to the menu is by alt-tabbing. I've tried waiting for up to 2 min, tried the tab+LMB trick, nothing works. Re-installed FO3, moved my mods back in (nothing that would change animation at all), and the problem persists. All saves seem to have the issue. Triggers: Nothing. I did not install new mods before it happened. What the hell is going on here, anyone have an idea? With current mods, game was running solid for 20+ hours with no issues, until _this_ happened. Validated cache, every time there are 2 files that get redownloaded. Nothing seems to work-anyone have an idea? EDIT: Well how do you like that. Somehow, showracemenu in console fixes it? GrindedStone
There was a guy that was pretty excited about figuring out that the player character can get stuck in a animation loop, the fix was to blow yourself up, either explosion force or death force was an override or reset. However it's not normal behavior. Yall shouldn't have that problem. The way to narrow it down would be to duplicate the issue in a new game start, or a clean install, no mods, no DLC, just vanilla an patched. Then if the issue is still there it's a issue with the computer system. Being configured incorrectly, messy, or lacking certian foundation software. You could try un-installing Visual C++ then install it again, an do the same for the .NET framework family of software 1 2 3 3.5 4, further merge patch an master update fix a few things in mods plus it's a near fully automated process, so it's not as difficult as say loading up the whole load order an then fixing all the broken stuff based off years of Fallout 3 content knowlege. EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! <------------ Says Mr. Burke
