Backstory:

 

Once a Field Marshal of the Lunar Capital (the capital of the Moon, if that's not clear already), Eirin retired and became a pharmacist. With her astounding intelligence and age, she had mastered almost every kind of skill existing in the history. Eirin created Hourai Elixir, the medicine that allows consumers to be completely immortal. The act was considered a great crime that defied nature, so she was expeled and transferred to the farthest, most isolated land on Earth.

 

The transport wasn't all successful as it accessed Earth's atmosphere, the Great War broke out. It killed everyone, only Yagokoro Eirin survived in a strange, vast land filled with radiation. She spent her boring day by working on random experiements with the near-dead inhabitants around. Not for long she succeeded in healing them, but the radiation caused such changes in genes the creatures evolved into something even Eirin couldn't handle. She tried her best to create a even stronger, bigger monster with sole purpose of getting rid of the Giants and keeping them within the valley.

 

Her life would seem sad and boring if one day, an expedition didn't show up. Eirin didn't help them, not only because she was too far away, but also she was curious on the human ability. She was disappointed tho, because the whole party was eaten whole. Best they could manage was a modified gun... Then...
