mods that will fix gamebreaking stuff (for me, at least)

If you want to be a graphics prostitute like me get OBGE (oblivion graphics extender), the best water mod you can find, detailed terrain (I think that's what it's called)

With the right mods you can achieve very very realistic graphics.

But I do agree with you on the cave issue. They are too strait and they look like they where made with some sort of tunneling machine

For a completely hand-crafted game using the Oblivion engine but not mucch else, download Nehrim. It's a total comversion. Some texture improvers like QTP3 work with it. Otherwise you are stuck with the generic dungeon shapes in Oblivion.

ok i've downloaded it.. anything that would make melee combat a bit less boring? coz seriously there aren't many ways to vary the way you fight.. with magic you got lots of spells and with archery.. um.. well who cares about archery!

i don't mind trying something that you guys offer me, but i'm not an expert when it comes to installing overhauling mods.. took me a fe wmin to understand how to install OBGE.. and even that i just copy pasted all the files to both the data folder and the main folder ><

AA with HDR is definitely noticeable. It will make everything, including the people, look more natural. Just don't overdo it. I'm using AF, too.

I know this will sound like superficial advice, but it's not. If you really hate the dungeons, don't grind in them. Go in only when you have a quest you really want to do. You've made the outdoors more beautiful. Maybe just start adding some interesting mods to that beautiful outdoors. There are mods that make new cities and villages, quests with challenging bosses, and whole new regions of the map can be opened up, such as Elsweyr. I highly recommend Elsweyr Anequina and the mods that people have added to it. I hardly ever go into dungeons anymore unless there is a quest I want to do.

But let's suppose you do want to keep going underground. There are some mods that give you a lot more to do there. Unfortunately, some of the bigger ones do probably conflict with each other, so install proceed with caution. Here are some that look interesting to me, a little different:

http://www.tesnexus....le.php?id=23153

Big mod with over 142k downloads. Adds D&D style Drow culture underground.

http://www.tesnexus....le.php?id=13439

Example of one of the sewer/dungeon/underground player houses people have made. There are lots of them. Some are pretty cute.

http://www.tesnexus....le.php?id=29694

Shivering Isles Sewer Gangs. Obviously requires SI.

http://www.tesnexus....ile.php?id=4833 adds underlife to Bravil and Cheydinhal sewers.

http://www.tesnexus....le.php?id=27520

Tries to make a better looking dungeon, has horror elements. By GrandDukeAdense. The editor, David Brasher, is one of the best modders around in my opinion. Have not played this mod but if you have a level 15 or higher worth checking out.

http://www.tesnexus....le.php?id=24250

One by David Brasher. also requires level 15 unless you want to flee a lot, apparently. Has a gang living in it..

http://www.tesnexus....le.php?id=30279

Another by David Brasher. He is one of the few modders seriously interested in changing the Oblivion dungeon experience. Needs SI. Oh eesh, just go to David Brasher's profile and look at all his uploads. Seriously.

http://www.tesnexus....le.php?id=35696 Has quests, has some parts not underground.

http://www.tesnexus....le.php?id=37587 Quest based dungeon mod.

http://www.tesnexus....ile.php?id=7572 Damsels in Distress, adds what it says into many vanilla dungeons to make more reason to go there.

http://www.tesnexus....le.php?id=27392 Same mod but with gentlemen in distress.

http://www.tesnexus....le.php?id=27583 Same mod but this one has both men and women in distress.

Choose only one.

OBGE should be compatible with all your texture packs and eye candy mods. It may conflict with mods which change shaders unless they are related to the OBGE project, but I don't know any specific ones.

yeah.. i kinda fear downloading mods that change or add stuff to existing dungeons... i might try the "avoid dungeons" tactic but lets be honest.. every freakin quest takes me to one XD also i heard you get good items there tho i never actually encountered any :( and bosses aren't rlly difficult.. just like other mobs :O

edit: i got NO IDEA how to install stuff apparently... that underdark thing sounds good, i downloaded it and all i got was a word file o.O wth do i do with it?! i looked in the installation instructions and nothing says there about word file...

ALSO i don't know how to install mods like deadly reflex or unnecessary violence, plus i kinda fear the bugs.. a bit of help would be nice if possible because.. well, im not STUPID or anything.. i can read stuff and understand them but sometimes they ask you to do stuff that are a bit complicated and at which point they lose me.

what is better, deadly reflex or unnecessary violence? the dmc one looks a bit too cartoonish if you know what i mean.. or anime :P

The file you downloaded is the read me manual. To get the mod and OMOD you need to click on the mirrors tab. That's because it's too big for the single file limit here and split files tend to confuse people how to open them. Of that list, I don't think any but the Damsels in Distress ones change the vanilla dungeons. I don't like to mess with vanilla dungeons much either,

OMODs require Oblivion Mod Manager. It's a special installer format used by that program, which helps you install and uninstall mods cleanly. If you are not already using OBMM, the Oblivion Mod Manager, I highly recommend you use it. It will save you much hassle.

I tend to stay away from big overhauls, so I can't really advise you on combat overhaul mods. You can use Unnecesssary Violence with Deadly Reflex if you want, though.

so what shaders should i use to achieve "very very realistic graphics"

edit: also, it seems i don't know how to use this mod at all.. i click on the key thingy which activates the menu for the mod, i try to mess around with different shaders, it asks me to type new value and i got NO CLUE what i should do with it.. so i just type one and hope for the best.. nothing happens.. i tried with a few others th same things and nothing happens.. "Well.." i said, "i'll try to press the toggle shaders" thingy thinking it's an on/off button but it does NOTHING... so obviously the problem is between the screen and the chair. me.
