Dead Money Causes CTD on Startup

I just got Dead Money and now my game crashes constantly. I haven't set foot in the bunker or started the DLC quest yet. I was on Veronica's quest and had just reached the cabin where you upload the info on the items she wants to find for the Brotherhood. First, the game crashed three or four times when I tried to go inside. Now it's crashing immediately on startup after I left. I've disabled all my mods, and I've never had so many crashes before, so I'm sure it's Dead Money. Anyone have any ideas?

Um start a new game, new, yes, skip the movie, create a random character, exit doc mitchels place, open the console an type TMM 1 (toggle map markers) Now fast travel to the Dead Money Bunker, open the console an type rewardxp 3000 again an again until you reach level 20, then try to enter the DLC to see if it's actually working. Then you know if you wanted to create a real character an use this alternate start method, just open the console an type TMM 0 to hide the map markers again.

Crashing before you get to the main loading screen is from a error in the load order. The timestamp on FalloutNV.esm can get updated thru automatic updates, when this happens it can end up loading after DLC's an mods. The DLC's an mods require FalloutNV.esm as a master (meaning all the content inside can be used in the DLC or mod) so they can't very well load something as a master when it loads after they load. The modified/created date on each file is what is used to set the load order. When you move things around in FOMM/NVMM you are just changing that timestamp

That little nugget of info just fixed my Dead Money startup crash. Kudos to you.
