Jesugandalf
You'll kill me, because it's Roxette. *runs for cover and protection* Hey, hey, but also Los Suaves, Fito y los Fitipaldis (Spanish rock bands), and U2. And also classical music, of course (Tchaikovsky and Mozart). And, as I don't think soundtracks are classical music (just call them "instrumental"), I will add here some soundtracks like FotR, Starwars, Gladiator, and The Piano. Malchik
I don't think soundtracks are classical musicWell they generally appear in the Gramophone Classical Catalogue and so I guess they are. Lots of famous classical 20th C composers wrote for the cinema - Aaron Copland, Bernstein, Vaughan-Williams etc., etc. But LOTR is in the current catalogue too. Some film scores don't work for me when away for the film because the music sounds too 'samey' - not something you notice when distracted by other screen effects. But there are some great scores out there. Korngold, Max Steiner and their ilk. If you don't know them, try them. You will see how much more variety there can be than in many current scores. Jesugandalf
Correction noted, then. I will consider classical music the soundtracks (or at least the best ones ;) ) from now on. Thanks, Malchik!
