NVSE + FNV4GB?

First, run your loader, get into the game, to the main menu, then quit. This will generate your .ini files that you need. Then pust into Fallount New Vegas folder NVSE and it's components. Run NVSE, get to the main menu, and quit. Finally, put the FNV4GB into Fallout New Vegas folder, and run it. You want to run the 4GB, not NVSE. When you get to the main menu, hit the console key, typically this one, ~, and type getnvseversion and it should come up with your nvse version, and you should be good to go.

As to running the game without NVSE or FNV4GB, you don't have to run the launcher a whole lot from this point on. But it will help if you do keep it around. Depending on your video card, whether Nvidia based or ATI based, you can get optimal settings for your game from their software. But run, once, NVSE to get that set. And then you can run FNV4GB to your heart's content from that point on.

Let me set this straight, and I apologize for any confusion here. The main game's launcher you should only have to run when you install a new video card, or major changes to your current video card comes out. This is the start to setting your .ini files. I recommend to all players to change the resolution, and set to say medium, if it doesn't automatically do this. And still set your resolution to what you like. I prefer mine full screen, full resolution, so I set mine to 1920x1080. Then click ok, and click play. This here is where your initial game settings take place. You can skip through part of the stuff, and just get to the main menu. Then you can change your in game settings, like hud color, etc. When done, quit. Then go to you video card's program for games. Nvidia is Geforce Experience. For AMD, not sure, but it's basically the same. Optimize the settings there. Okay, there is a couple things you need to do for NVSE. The link here will help. Just scroll down to NVSE, and follow the instructions. And you should be good to go. You don't have to run NVSE loader more than once, but just do so once, just to make sure things work okay. Then install your 4gb, and you should be good to go from there. You won't have to run anything else, unless they update NVSE, or other things. And then just follow instructions.
