lgpmichael
If you mean the description then in the CS look at the boxes in the File/Data menu If you mean the quest names then select the quest from the Character/Quests menu and change the name on the first screen. If you mean anything else, please be more specific.

Deleted1848331User
Go into your data folder and right click, click rename. Just don't delete te .esp part, or it will mess up. Also, unless you have the CS Extender, then the name and description box won't work and will crash the CS. And to change names in the CS, click the thing and hit F2. (Its quicker.) chaospearl
Just keep in mind that if you plan on using a lot of mods, you are going to want BOSS at some point. And BOSS works by sorting your mods into the correct order based on the names their authors gave them. In other words, if you have or ever will have a lot of mods, it's better not to rename the esps. You can customize your BOSS list to use whatever new names you give the esps, so not all is lost, it's just an aggravating amount of work. Something to know about before you decide if renaming an esp is worth it for you.

The mod I want to change the name is mine....not someone else's.....Why would I change the name of other people's .esp. I woud be pretty stupid to do that don't you think? Edited March 28, 2011 by HaltOCarrick
David Brasher
If you change the name of your mod, you will lose the connection to all your voice files in the mod. But that is not really a problem because you made the mod and know how to reconnect them or generate new ones.
