Deleted15779019User
Last night, I went to the Long War -UFOpaedia for information and there was no problem. Today, my Norton antivirus blocked direct access and states there are three Trojan.Gen viruses on this site. Any suggestions?
dubiousintent
"Trojan.Gen" is a generic designation, meaning Norton found something it didn't like, but no signatures of any specific virus. It is more likely to appear if you have the highest degree of protection (usually called "heuristics") enabled. I just accessed the site and didn't get a warning, but then I use MS Security Essentials, and Firefox with the NoScript addon with all scripting turned off by default. MIGHT be a "false positive". (All AV vendors get these with updates occasionally.) Try updating your Norton and then try accessing the site again to see if the situation has been "corrected". If not take a look at the "detailed report" and see just what Norton is unhappy about before making a decision to proceed or not. Contacting the site web administrator about the warning is the only way to get an actual infection of the site resolved. I can't find any "contacts" information for the site, so probably through the forum is your best bet. -Dubious-
bben46
Try running VirusTotal on that - you don't have to download it before running. https://www.virustotal.com/
