4GB Patch Not Opening NVSE

So I decided to try and run New Vegas in windowed mode to test out the Fake Fullscreen mod. 4GB doesn't like that, apparently. So I decided to go back to full screen mode, opened up NVSE so the 4GB patch could detect it, and opened the 4GB launcher again. But now, it just opens up the main launcher and wont open NVSE like it's supposed to. This is irritating because One; It puts New Vegas in read only mode, and Two; It forces me to rewrite the font settings in the ini for Darnified over and over again every time it forgets how to run NVSE.

Okay, now this may be a bit of a long shot, did you run the vanilla game before nvse and the other stuff? That maybe a key step. Run the launcher in full screen, initially, then run all the way to the main game menu. Quit, then try nvse, if it works, move on to the 4gb launcher. If that works, then go back to the main launcher, and run the game in windowed mode. Then run, the 4gb launcher, just to be sure. Then, finally, run your fake full screen, and you should have your game back.

Going out on a limb here. This may tell me more. Are you running the latest version of NVSE? If so, you will need to make an .ini file. To do so, open up your fallout new vegas folder, got to Data. Inside there, create a folder, if this doesn't already exist. Call it NVSE. Open that up, if nothing is there, then right click, select new text document, call it nvse_config.ini. Open that up, add it the following line:

[Memory]

DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=400

Then save and close. Run NVSE again, and see what happens. Go to the main menu, open the console, default key is: ` Then type getnvseversion. If it comes back with the NVSE version you installed, then you are alright, at the moment. Then quit the game, and try the 4gb launcher. If things are running correctly at this point, you should get to the main menu, type in the get... again, and you should be okay at this point. If not, then there might be something else wrong.
