PsychoticHamster
Not sure if anyone has started a topic about this, and I may be naive in suggesting this because of my inexperience of modding, but someone should attempt to redo Morrowind. Just putting it out there, because Im sure that there are modders out there talented enough to do this. Im not suggesting someone recreate the entire game quests and items included, but to have the key locations etc. notable armor pieces and such. Once again, a suggestion. Genzel
Here is a released portion of a mod to build Morrowind: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37329I think there have been many attempts, but this is the only time I have actually seen anything released. The only other "successful" attempt was Morroblivion, which was an illegal port of Morrowind into the Oblivion engine.
Telyn
From what I understand, the Morroblivion project is now under new leadership and does not use any material taken directly from Morrowind anymore. It can be Googled. You are correct that Bethesda does not allow people to port files from one of their games to another. It makes sense. Obviously they would prefer you buy both Morrowind and Oblivion. If they let people give Morrowind content away for free, it's not much different than allowing piracy. David Brasher
Here is a mod with a couple of worldspaces which attempt to recreate Morrowind: Vampire Hunting - Order of the Virtuous Blood The small worldspace is only accessible while you play a certain quest, but the big Caldera worldspace, which is the latest, and most debugged and polished version of "Caldera Update" is accessible at any time whether or not you are actively playing the mod and hunting vampires. The worldspace includes three quests, eight dungeons, and shopping and sightseeing in the town of Caldera. You just have to go through the portal at the Cheydinhal Mage Guild to get to Morrowind.
