Corpsegoddess
If I use an appearance mod only---something cosmetic that doesn't affect gameplay---does that affect whether or not my game will show up on my Bioware profile? The reason I ask is because I recently downloaded some of the lovely new eye/hair mods to apply to my "canon" playthrough and I can't find my new character on my Bioware profiles page. Do they penalize us for using mods? Thanks for your patience if this has been asked and answered before... Thandal
Fixed your topic title typos for ya'. Your avatar on the BSN doesn't know or care what mods you have. I used my Deekin portrait for a while, and made a Fem!Shep one from an ME screenshot as well. But it does take a while after you've changed looks for the update to kick in. Swapping your equipped items (arms and armour) seems to trigger an update most of the time. About 15-30 mins after the switch, the new Portrait will be associated with your DA on-line profile. If that's not the one currently selected as your BSN avi, you'll have to make that change by-hand on your BSN account profile.
Corpsegoddess
Thank you for helping with my title! So, my last two playthroughs haven't shown up at all. I did fool around with the console on them--would that have anything to do with it? If not, any thoughts as to why they're not there? I started them at least a week ago and nothing. No amount of refreshing brings them up, and I've tried every button and knob on the site I can find with no luck. I'll go back and fool with them again, I suppose. I do know I have always been logged on when I play. Perhaps I'll log off and on again and see if that does anything. Thanks for the reply. edit: Think that may be the issue, messing about with the dev console. I'll test it out and see. Thandal
Well, in searching for the post on the BSN I remembered about this, I found that there was definitely a problem with PS3 portraits not uploading. Don't know if that's the console you have, or if they ever fixed it. But when I was getting a "non-DA" portrait to work my problem was that the character updates would happen TOO frequently. I needed to train myself not to swap weapon sets in order to prevent the "more recent" verison overwriting the one I wanted.
Corpsegoddess
Found the issue. It was running the game with the dev console open and modifying the the runscripts. When I run the game normally, everything updates nicely. Thanks again for your help.

Or was it, (if you use DAMM to flip back-n-forth between modes, f'instance) that the "daupdatersvc" wasn't running? That would prevent you BioWare character profile from being refreshed as well. Anyway, glad you got it sorted!

So I started a new game with it enabled, fooled with the scripts there, saved and exited, then opened the game with the default .exe and there was my character on my profile. Sometimes having a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
